Kyriad Villefranche Sur Saone Porte du Beaujolais -Rénové-

The room was super small and the bathroom tiny but the bed was very comfortable

The garage was very creepy, moldy and dusty.

It was central

They did not have a twin room that we booked, they didn’t give us an extra duvet that was requested to separate 2 teenage siblings of opposite sex and the shower leaked

I appreciate it will not always like our experience. We have stayed in numerous Kyriad's including 3 in this year alone and always had a good experience. In this case there was renevation going onI feel we should have been told beforehand so I could have cancelled as I have many allergies including to paint and any dust or the smells make it difficult for me to breath and give me pain on my joints. The noise on the first morning was unbearable. The room was the smallest we have ever had in a Kyriad and the bathroom was not much bigger than those on a ferry. The rest for the shower head was broken and we had to place it in the soap dish. The towels were very good. Even the light switches had problems at one time we tried numerous times to turn on the main light when it was dark we tried for a couple of minuits so my husband went to reception, I kept trying and suddenly the light went on my husband arrived with the receptionist and she just said you have no patience. The breakfast room was understanderbly closed so we had to go to a bakery a couple a mins away and I have to say it was very good. Soŕry to complain very rare for me.

Location is good, right in the centre of town. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were small but perfectly adequate. breakfast good.

The parking. What a nightmare trying to get in to the underground car park. The smell of sewage down there was also terrible. Also no direct access into the hotel from the car park and had to drag out suitcases up and down a steep ramp.

Had everything we needed for our one night stay

The drive way to their carpark was too steep to drive down from the pavement, we scrapped the underneath of our car causing expensive damage/repair costs. Had to find alternative parking.

Great location, staff informative and friendly, great breakfast to start a day. Beautiful town.

Great hotel stayed few times now great location in centre of town underground parking plenty bars restaurants within walking distance!

Horrible client service of the manager. Ended up paying up twice for one night, and they could not care less.

Horrible service of the staff, and specially of the manager. I had made a booking an hour before arrival. At arrival we found out the hotel could not accommodate my car since the entrance was to low. The friendly receptionist called another hotel and made a reservation for me there and told me she would cancel my booking FREE OF CHARGE. However I just noticed on my credit card statement that I was charged after all. I called the Kyriad hotel in Villefranche sur Saone and spoke to the (alleged) manager. She told me I had to pay since it was a non refundable booking. The fact that her colleague told me I would not be charged didn’t make any difference to her. I have to pay. I now ended up paying for TWO hotel stays for the same night although I was told I would not be charged. Appalling client service!

Centrally located and free on-street parking on a Saturday night. No troubles booking, friendly receptionists morning and night. Great place to break a long drive south.

Staff and position. The guy how checked us in was really nice and borrowed us an iron for our dresses

Bathroom conditions, very poorly cleaned. Romm size was pretty small and all the style of the structure in general

Car park nightmare

Small room and shower/toilet area. Worst of all was the car park. The space we were given was already occupied so we used another. We weren't told how to get out of the car park. We had to move the car as the space we used didn't belong to the hotel. Manoeuvring the car in such a tight space was a nightmare. Finally we had a space our car fitted. The fee for the car park made the stay expensive.
