People are very nice. The accommodation is basic. It’s cheap and near the station and it’s clean.

Tiny room with no natural light. Entrance to the room grabby. Breakfast extremely modest, definitely not worth 10 €. Accommodation not worth the price. To be avoided!

I stayed at "The Liberty's" to avoid the high cost of staying in Lyon during the Festival of Lights. The parking was so convenient which is a must. And the train was right behind the hotel about 3 to 4 minutes away. My plan worked perfectly. The staff was so friendly and check in went perfect. The pub below my room was perfect. The bartender made some very delicious drinks. The atmosphere in the pub was really nice. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice as well. I will for sure stay here in the future if I make it back to Lyon for another Light Festival in the future or to just visit the area again. I love those French Pastries and all the foods.

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel. I was 100% pleased and happy with my stay. The only problem I had was that I had to leave.

Food and service was excellent. Staff were polite and helpful.

Room was clean

Despite no smoking allowed in the room, it is allowed on the terrace on each floor, meaning the rooms smell of cigarette smoke. Parking was difficult and the staff didn't seem to really know where we could park. Luckily I'd read some reviews and we managed to work it out. Advertising as having parking is misleading. Not many places to eat locally unless you want a burger or kebab. Having read reviews, we didn't bother with breakfast.

Staff was very friendly. Comfortable beds, great beers. Good location for traveling through.

The food was... okay. Not bad, but not really good either. The room was slightly noisy but that's more to blame on the guests then on the property.

The people(the staff) they are lovely, even under pressure from us, they were faultlessly polite. A big 10++ for them. The liberty pub in itself is quite nice, very popular with the locals and with good reason, go there even if you are not staying at the hotel.

We need to talk about the parking, the parking in Villefranche sur Saône is not convenient for long stays, overnight is fine, but during the day is too complicated, every 2 hours needs to be topped up, so don’t use it, get into your car and visit the lovely villages around.

The location was perfect. The dinner was good.

The location was within walking distance of the train station which was great. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Unlike many other hotels the bedside light was positioned so I could read in bed. The staff were always very helpful.

At breakfast you sometimes had to wait for food to be replenished before you could choose your breakfast.

The staff was very friendly, and it seemed to be clean and had the necessary things a hotel should have.

However, the feel of the place bothered me a bit. It wasn't dirty, but had the feeling of being above a bar or something. Very dark, faint smell of smoke. There was an issue where a fire alarm went off when I took a shower, apparently because of the steam. Also, the shower was designed where it didn't catch the water, so the water flooded the bathroom and part of the living room when I was done taking a shower.

The personal and the pub were very friendly. The food and drinks were good. It was a plessant stay.

Beds were old. No good pillows. Very noisy.

Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful both in the hotel and the bar.
