Hotel Mercure Vichy Thermalia

It was surrounded by construction and is in desperate need of renovations itself. The building, fittings and furniture are very tired and run down.

Location superb.

Very very noisy from around 06.00 plus strong cooking smells from the kitchen.

Delightful staff - Henrique was especially helpful on arrival, with loads of local advice. Location could not have been better. .We slept well in the very comfortable beds. A generous breakfast buffet with good quality produce and lots of choice.

This hotel is badly in need of refurbishment. Despite high standards of cleanliness, decor is tired, curtain linings torn and corridors are depressing and in need of decoration. More like 2 stars than 4!!Parking is secure but cost a lot for just one night's stay.

A great location close to the shops and main tourist sites .The rooms were pleasant and quiet

It was scruffy , cigarette buts by the front door , carpets stained by bleach . I expected better from a Mercure Hotel .Clearly not the fault of the Hotel but there was also an ongoing excavation with the extracted soil formed in mounds ,giving the impression of a bomb site.

The room was a nice size and had a mini bar to keep my dog's food cold.

The carpeting was badly stained which made it look dirty, although it was clean to the touch.

Expensive as better local alternatives for better price

Good location close to the centre.

The access was difficult due to road works. I am sure it would be very different once these have been finished.

The rooms was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the location is right in the middle of the city. Onsite parking was very convenient.

I had booked a room with a bath but was not allocated one on arrival, despite on being available when I checked. Changing rooms took half and hour due to shortage of reception staff.

Food was excellent Bar and restaurant staff were very nice

Reception staff were not friendly.Beds were far too hard and they did not supply toppers.The lady cleaning the room entered the room despite the sign on the door asked me what time the room would be free to clean it, then actually rolled her eyes when I said I would be in the room until 10 am.The advertisement had free parking but they tried to charge us parking, until I could show them the information. They also asked to find the original booking form and forward it to them so they could change the information. To be frank that is their job not mine.Very disappointed when they have a huge car park that parking would be an extra charge.

Underwhelming.

Tired and advertised outdoor heated swimming pool. No pool and reception just laughed when I said it was on their website. Would not recommend.

The breakfast was good.

Very old hotel, in really poor shape. There are stains on the carpet everywhere and it's just overall quite dirty and sad looking in the common area's. Not worth the price at all. The information on the website regarding access to the thermal baths is misleading. Booking a room here does NOT give you access to the thermal baths and the hotel can not arrange this for you. On top of everything the hot water wasn't working in the morning so we had to take a cold shower...

Total building and furnishing. Stained carpets, old creaking elevators, mediocre breakfast considering the price.

Very little.Over the twenty years or so that we have used this hotel quite a number of times ,we have witnessed a gradual deterioration in the decor ,quality of the facilities ,standard of catering whilst the cost of staying there has been increasing.There was a rear garden with a popular swimming pool with easily accessed car parking at the front.the rear garden and pool have been removed and the area is now the car park and the front car parking is now closed to cars and the well maintained lawns are poorly maintained.We will not return

The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. We had a balcony door that overlooked the parking. The selections available for breakfast were excellent.

I didn't realize we had to pay for parking every time we went in and out over the 3 days. They need to have a pass to swipe as you go in and out when you are staying at the hotel for more than a day.

The building and staff seemed a bit tired . We visited 15 years ago when it was smart and the staff were excellent

This hotel has 4 stars but needs renovation. The carpet... OMG. All kind of stains!Some of the ligt switches didn't work and the air-conditioning os prehistoric

This is a very central hotel in Vichy. The underground parking was secure. The room was spacious and comfortable. Tried the breakfast one morning which was excellent although expensive at 18 eur.

Lifts, especially to the parking were slow- minor problem.

Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good

The hôtel is in desperate need of renovation. Not 4* by any standards

Air did not work, alarm went off a few times, no water pressure, old building and old rooms, no parking. No english TV except for news. No laundry, no pool
