Clean neat room, excellent breakfast, quiet location.

It's old-fashioned and needs a bit of a refit - but personally I rather liked it as it is.

Very friendly staff, cozy and clean room! The breakfast was delicious.

At the breakfast somebody in the kitchen/ close to the breakfast room was smoking, and the smell went into the breakfast room. Not a big problem, but a little bit annoying for non-smokers.

Good value hotel in the centre of town. Our room was comfy and the shower was good. Close to shops and restaurants.

Bad

The owner didn't let us stay because the reception at her hotel was closed... We had a problem on the road (a major traffic jam due to a car accident) and arrived very late, but she didn't offer us ANY solution. She just called us at 22:00 and told us that "the reception was closed."We lost the money from the reservation, and she left us on the street. Finally, we were able to stay at a B&B...You said:

Stairs only - fine for us but some would struggle.No aircon which again normally would be fine but we arrived on an extremely hot day with a very warm overnight and the family rooms were extremely hot and uncomfortable overnight. The owners can’t control the weather but just something to consider if travelling here in peak summer.

The bed a bit tio short.

Nice hotel, I had a single room with double aspect windows. Simple but comfortable and clean. I loved having a hot bath after a day cycling. Nice, friendly staff, happy to store the bicycle.

To make it perfect it could have a water boiler in the room for a hot drink before going to sleep....

Helpful staff. Location on edge of the centre of town. Somewhat quirky place but fine for the price.

The lady at reception was very nice and helpful. Bathroom was fully renovated, towels were new, fluffy and soft.

Generally a bit worn out except bathroom.

Wifi very weak in the top floor

The hotel is lovely. It's housed in a classic townhouse, the rooms are stylish, with beautiful windows and shutters, plus sometimes balconies with flowers. The location is perfect, a few steps from the spa park and water springs. The price is commensurate with the standard. The staff are very open, helpful and willing to talk.

Wifi works poorly. It's not a new property, so some of the features aren't stunning either, but this is reflected in the attractive price. There is no separate car park, so we drove around the surrounding one-way streets several times to find places to park a large car.

Old furniture and facilities

Lovely couple running the hotel who greeted us warmly, helped us with whatever we needed (even teaching me some french!) and the hotel was clean, quiet and cosy.

The room was clean and the mentioned amenities were available. Good value for money. The old classic look of the hotel room has been maintained.

There was no option for natural ventilation in the provided room as the only window in the room was sealed from opening.
