Little short on staff

Beautifully decorated room, nice warm pool.

You could hear absolutely everything from you next door, upstairs or downstairs neighbours. If it was up to a reasonable time at night I would not have mentioned it but it went on all night. With two kids with us , we felt extremely uncomfortable to hear what was happening upstairs. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good night sleep and to anyone with children.

The Hotel's park was nice to walk in. Hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. Overall our room - the Nabab- was very nice with good light and views and wonderfully restored.

The bathroom in our room was not separate but rather behind 3/4 high walls. Stairs up to the room were a challenge but not sure there is much you can do about that. The sloping nature of our room's ceiling made it difficult to sit in chairs provided. Storage for clothes was a bit small. Would benefit from the addition of a bureau or something similar. Restaurant was pleasant but not exceptional. I would recommend removing some furniture from the lobby below the skylight to make it more inviting to sit in.

It was very quiet. It was comfortable & clean.We also loved in spa area. The massage I had was very good.

Staff didn't seem readily available at the reception when you needed them and no one seemed available at breakfast when you needed to ask a question.

We liked the room size and good bathroom facilities

The food served for dinner looked nice on the plate, but both our meals tasted bland.

The setting, tranquility and style of the hotel. Breakfast was exceptionally good.

Just a couple of niggles. The broad wooden surround to the bed made it a little challenging to get out, but for younger people, that shouldn't be a problem. The room was very warm and the external door could not be left open as the shutter was inoperative. The toilet seat was loose and moved too much. Nothing serious!

Practically very few people for staff. nobody at the reception and it was very difficolt to find somebody. The room was not very clean full of dust under the bed and walls e skirting boards were detached and full of dirt.The sauna didn't work we called the receptionist but didn't fix itThe dinner portions were very small and it was not possible to order anything else (not even an icecream!)

Delightful old chateau set in large gardens. A most relaxing place. Pool and sauna in the basement available for private sessions .Beautiful South- East Asia themed decor ,very comfortable bed .Breakfast was excellent , plenty of of choice and dinner was delicious and as good as many top range restaurants.

The location was superb, the approach along the driveway through the gardens was stunning.Plenty of parking. Super friendly owner who explained all about the building.We had the room in the top left of the picture facing the garden, it was a delight to wake up and see the beautiful country setting of this extraordinary manor house.Breakfast was buffet style and was laid out early and catered for most appetites.Loved the pool in the basement although a little small for swimming.

Okay, so there's a few things that need fixing and refinement. The sauna isn't particularly hot, the showers in the fitness area need attention.I understand there's work in progress around the building but on the whole, these details didn't detract from the wonderful experience of staying in a stunning hotel such as this. I would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in giving a positive recommendation.

Full length mirror would be appreciated in one of the rooms plus the door handle was broken. The mechanical blinds in one of the rooms did not work. Lots of dust in drawers, the rooms In general were not clean. Shouldn’t have to ask for extra toilet rolls, these should have been checked in the rooms.

The staff/owner was lovely and very accommodating- dinner was delicious and very good value, beautiful gardens and fab swimming pool - we had a massage which was fantastic

Beautiful setting and bonus use of the pool which was a real treat. Room was spacious and comfortable too. Dog-friendly in addition.

Dinner was very disappointing. Undercooked chicken had to be returned with no apology from staff. We did raise the issue again on our departure but again, no apology. A shame really as this experience was not in line with the rest of our stay.

Checking in was good, there staff showed us to the room and explained all the features / facilities of the place. Parking is ample. The meals served at the restaurant is good.

The wifi is very annoying, the signal is weak and connection is slow and often lost when one is out of the room. Attention to cleanliness should be improved as areas such as under the bed, in the cupboard shelves and floor along the walls have not been vacuumed for an extended period of time.

the location and garden were very nice and execptional different from the room and facilities of the room.the room was very uncomfortable, the bed was very uncomfortable, there was almost no ventilation, there was no window, but a glass door to open to the surrounding, there is no privacy possible in the room. the toilet and bathroom were very small and not comfortable, and hardly ventilated...

Very helpful staff. Liked the decor in the room. Enjoyed having access to the indoor pool and sauna for an hour on our own. Good food. Excellent mattress in our room

The dinner menu was limited but once we were told which were gluten free meals it worked out OK.

Beautiful property set in private land. Huge gardens, warm and welcoming staff. Great facilities that are available for a long period of the day, everything was clean and well set up for guests. The room was spacious and bed was comfy. The restaurant served fantastic food that was full scale restaurant quality. Would 100% stay again.
