Mercure Hotel President Lecce

This is essentially a business hotel. Nicely appointed with large comfortable rooms.

The breakfast room and food a little industrial. Like a college dining hall. Taxis difficult to get from this hotel.

It was an excellent location near the old town. We appreciated having parking available.

The room was quite warm.

The Mercure Hotel in Lecce is very well located, only a short walk from the historic centre, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. Our room was comfortable and spacious, which we really appreciated.

Breakfast was adequate, though it would benefit from having a proper coffee machine to enhance the experience. Overall, the impression was that the hotel could use some updating, but the location, comfort, and friendly atmosphere still made our stay enjoyable.

Some stuff want to relocate me for other room after I do one more night booking same category of the room that makes uncomfortable because I don’t understand why they need me relocating if I booked absolutely same category of the room

Run down rooms with dirty carpets, elevator broke down several times during the 2 days stay. It needs investment to take advantage of its great location

Nice staff. Great location for accessing the historic center on foot.

Our room was in the 6th and top floor. Hot water was hard to obtain when wanted. Infact couldn’t get any during the entire stay. However, I was able to get SOME WARMish water in the morning. Probably due to many others using showers and it being forced up from the basement. But forget about getting ANY in the late afternoon or evening. When I commented at the top desk, the clerk clearly knew of the problem, and suggested that I run the water for 10 minutes until it’s hot. Something I had already done, without success. There’s no excuse for this problem. For that reason I would suggest staying someplace else until this problem is resolved. What a disgrace.

Being part of a corporate chain in Puglia takes away the personal touch towards the guest. Corporate standards erase the warm hospitality that Puglia is known for. A flashy facade cannot make your stay pleasant.My personal experience – there was no eye contact from the staff. I parked my car in an unregulated spot because I had no idea how to access the hotel’s private parking. At the reception, Teresa from the reception desk ignored my question about the parking and started checking me in without looking at me and without even explaining what she was doing!Then they asked for my car key, even though the parking lot was empty. I asked if they could give me a receipt or some kind of document, since I was driving a rental car and was responsible for it. She simply said, “We take no responsibility, that’s the hotel’s policy. I have to at least say that when I spoke to the manager, they let me keep my car keys! Apart from this, please don’t visit Lecce at the moment! Everything worth seeing is under construction!

Everything was perfect, staff is very polite, great location, facilities, breakfast!

The hotel is located on a busy street but was quiet and peaceful inside. There were a number of bars and restaurants easily accessible in the area.

Breakfast was not a comfortable experience; the room is large, echoing and utterly devoid of any sound reducing features such as ceiling panels. The situation is worsened by the fact that on each of the 3 mornings we were there, staff at the far end of the room were dismantling/setting up tables for another event and had clearly never been instructed to lift, rather than drag, chairs and tables. Penetrating screeching sounds and banging. The breakfast buffet was reasonable but not memorable.

Good location, good. neighborhood. Good breakfast, but more choices on veg and fruits would be excellent.
