    • From the moment we got to Lecce, the team at Palazzo Zimara was amazing. The suggestions they gave for restaurants, touring, parking were just spot on! The rooms were gorgeous and the location in town was perfect. David, Daniela, Stefania, and the last member of the team (I can’t remember his name!) who went and got our car from the car park…all of them were so hospitable!
    • It was clean. The staff was so attentive and gracious. Great location.
    • Great location friendly staff

    Cons -

    • Everything was lovely
    • Breakfast is too standard for the quality of the hotel
    • As mentioned above, the food and would have been nice to have a chair in the room. Not sure that the sheets were changed after 2 days as mentioned in the room instructions, but they were changed after 4 nights when we were staying for 5 nights...

The hotel itself is beautiful, a renovated Palazzo in the center of the old city. Our room was up quite a few stairs and was in a room with a vaulted ceiling. The room was divided into 3 parts, the sleeping area, a huge closet area and a very big and beautiful bathroom which actually looked out onto the street. The furnishings are very simple but plenty of space to put your things. The only seating space in the room was one stool. No place to sit and read or relax except for the bed aside from the stool. The bathroom had a huge and great shower and a big spa bathtub. Shower products were okay although the flimsy plastic bottles seemed cheap in the location and were never cleaned off so they were sticky. Also, no place to hang a towel by the sink which was a bit annoying. Because of the design of the room, there was no way to sleep with a window open because the only window (in the bathroom) was on the main street and it was noisy. The air conditioning worked fairly well but didn't cool the room down below 21,5 degrees. The staff was lovely and helpful. The one downfall of this hotel is the food. Unfortunately, it was the worst dinner we had during out 2 week stay in Puglia. The setting is beautiful, in the interior courtyard but the food was really not good. Appetizer had no taste and was a strange combination and pasta dish was tasteless. Ice cream for dessert was 2 microscopic balls of ice cream. In a country with such wonderful food and gelato, this was really a shame. Breakfast was ok, not fabulous and not as good as others we had in lesser priced hotels. Pancakes were obviously cooked in advanced and heated up (and dry), omelette was okay...The staff was always lovely, helpful and pleasant.

As mentioned above, the food and would have been nice to have a chair in the room. Not sure that the sheets were changed after 2 days as mentioned in the room instructions, but they were changed after 4 nights when we were staying for 5 nights...

The backyard patio/grouds were an oasis in all f the craziness of Lecce. The service was outstanding, food came quickly and was good.

I have nothing negative to say. this is a very high end hotel that lives up to every bit of it.

What a special place to stay. Beautiful rooms in a 16th century palazzo right in the centre of the old town, everything was thoughtful and beautifully appointed. The staff were, without exception, welcoming, warm and helpful. One of the loveliest places I have stayed in.

An elegant property with a clear design to delight guests. Employees are very engaging and helpful at every turn. A very pleasant and comfortable experience.

There is no bar service in the evening (at guess due low season).

Great location. Staff ever so helpful. Room was beautiful and very comfortable. We were lucky to have a gorgeous terrace also. Excellent breakfast

Bathroom was a bit quirky. It worked fine for a hotel - , but it was not very practical.

The location of the hotel, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the feeling of simplicity and luxury, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

Nice building well renovated without loosing its classical character, very well located close to city center

Does not have parking on the premised , need to walk 500 meters to open parking , may be frustrating in case on rain

We recently stayed at Palazzo Zimara to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond at every step to make our stay special.Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note from the staff—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The room quality was spectacular, blending luxury and comfort seamlessly. Staying in a palazzo built in 1557 was a unique experience; the renovations beautifully preserved its historical charm while adding modern, high-end touches.Breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight, with delicious and fresh offerings that made each morning delightful. The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, making us feel truly valued as guests. The entire staff was outstanding, not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable. They kept us informed and offered excellent suggestions on where to go and what to do in and around the city. They even went the extra mile by providing tips for the next city we were staying in, making our travels even more enjoyable. If you’re considering booking at Palazzo Zimara, don’t hesitate—this place is a gem, perfect for special occasions or simply indulging in a luxurious getaway. Highly recommended!

    Nothing to dislike.

Perfectly located in the heart of the town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food at the restaurant was excellent.

Breakfast could have been better, offering some buffet options as well to save time.

Superb boutique hotel in very central location for all of the main attractions that Lecce has to offer. Hotel staff are of the highest quality, extremely helpful, friendly, well trained and knowledgeable.

Original Lecce stone construction dating back over £500. Refurbished to the highest standards utilising top quality furniture, furnishings and ancillary items such as quality coffee and specialty teas. Home cooked food was simply superb.
