This hotel is beautiful!!! We really enjoyed our stay. Gabriele and Sara from the front desk were so attentive and made us feel like we were home. It was a short stay of two nights but it was so perfect and we would love to go back. For sure a place to refer to family and friends if planning to go to Lecce!!

We loved our stay at Chiostro dei Domenicani. The property is truly unique and stunning. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is also very well done. We found parking to be effortless and the location to be great for exploring nearby beaches with our car.

While it did not bother us, some may find the walk to the Centro Storico to be a bit long as it is about 30 minutes if walking at a brisk pace. This was not an issue for us though and allowed us to walk off all the pasticiotti.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Chiostro dei Domenicani, and it was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning architecture and rich history of the building. The ambiance is truly unique, making you feel like you are stepping back in time.A special mention goes to Anna, who welcomed us with warmth and professionalism. She was incredibly helpful, providing us with great tips for exploring the area and ensuring we felt right at home. Her friendliness made our arrival even more enjoyable. The breakfast experience was another highlight of our stay. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed to start our day off right. The selection was delightful, and it was a wonderful way to fuel up for our adventures in Lecce.Overall, our time at Chiostro dei Domenicani was unforgettable. The combination of historical charm, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. We can't wait to return!

Would be nice if we can pull up the car to the hotel to drop off our bags

Outstanding breakfast, huge room & bathroom (especially by European standards), beautiful grounds, spotless. You can see how monks used to build to last, and you can even see some of the old frescoes under the archways in the cloister. Would make an excellent venue site.

A tad closer to the old town gates and a little more space around the swimming pool would have been nice.

Thanks to Antonio for his welcome and valuable advice. upgraded to a very beautiful room with a pleasant high ceiling. The patio was extremely pleasant. I highly recommend it.

The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was easy to park on the street nearby.

It was a long distance to the historic center and no shuttle was provided. The bathroom window opened out onto a balcony that could be accessed by neighboring rooms and there was no privacy shade - only sheer curtains. Also the entrance to reception was not well marked and we had difficulty finding the entrance.

Incredible renovations for a magnificent result. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Location good. All around a charming place.

Plumbing didn't work great. No grab bars in handicapped room shower or near toilet. Could have used more leisure furniture in room. Two metal chairs were uncomfortable and desk was full of amenities and thus unusable as a desk.

We booked a room with terrace which was really nice. You could sit in the sunshine all day. Unfortunately we had a neighbour who thought it was a shared terrace so we had to ask him to leave. Beautiful old Monastery, beautiful furniture and decorations. Nice pool although it was not heated. Breakfast is amazing. Free parking on the street.

Location is nice but could have been a bit closer to the city center but parking was not a problem in the city. The breakfast/dining area has not much atmosphere.

Lovely facilities, everything was so spacious. There was a wedding on so we were put in a room that was away from the noise which was great but meant we didn’t have a balcony. On our second night we were lucky enough to be there when the hotel was used for the venue of a candlelight concert as well so we were able to attend that at no cost which was a real treat. The breakfast had plenty of variety - best scrambled eggs and cuppacino! The staff were fabulous and so helpful.

The wedding guests took over all the facilities so it did feel like you were intruding and we didn’t get to use the pool. It’s a bit of a walk to the town center but the hotel is worth it.

The suite was fantastic, breakfast was very good, very nice staff

Shower was not as nice, also the terrace could use an upgrade

the hotel is gorgeous! very beautiful old building combined with tasteful design elements fantastic breakfast. very tasty with lots of excellent home made products and the best “pasticiotti” in Lecce

air conditioning a bit weak and slow for hot summer days in puglia as it’s an ancient convent, the hotel is not close to city center, the hotel offers shuttle transfers to the city , these however , are not very frequent

It was like in a fairy tale.Sceptic but it was better than expected. They need more, better and more talkative photos on the beauty inside.Outside beautiful stylish pool, South Italian heat, many hundred years old scoarching sun drenched cloister walls telling stories on the past, Mediterranean flora and fauna, inside pleasant, cool, air-conditioned air filled up with luxury Culti Milano scent, large spaces, freskoes, corners and spots of fine furniture both antique looking or modern and stylish. Mystical crypt/chapel the location of old miracles. Matresses and bedding is high quality too, far the best in hotels. I loved the mini Culti Milano bathroom stuff like shower gel.Room furniture was pretty, well made, and like new. Cleaning was during the breakfast so we were never disturbed. Receptionists were very kind and helpful.

There was at least one juice every day that was diluted to be water like and undrinkable. So the 100% Orange juice, as well, I was very disappointed with. They weren't even mixed up just half bottle water half juice. Two phases on each other.

Beautiful historic building, which has been brought up to date and provides an excellent service. Excellent restaurant. Staff on front desk, at breakfast and in the restaurant gave superb service and really made us feel special. Nice pool area. The cental courtyard is a beautiful space used for events, but is set up for guests to use with seating and tables- was a bit hot for us to sit out in the July heat. Free shuttle to and from historic centre of Lecce each day which can be pre booked.Breakfast selection was excellent and staff in the breakfast area were friendly and attentive. We dined in the restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed what was on offer, cuisine was adventurous and staff were passionate about what they were serving.Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Good bathroom. Good air conditioning which made us very comfortable even in the heat of July (38-39°C).Parking options available nearby

No on-site parking, but decent public options nearby. A little way out from the historic centre, but free shuttle available each evening.

Beautiful, quiet property during the day! Such nice staff and free parking

It may have just been our room but the AC never really worked that strong so it was a bit hot at night. There were some parties at night in the event courtyard so it was a bit loud but not too bad. I’d love to come again!

    10MichaelPosted on: 7-19-2024

The property is amazing! Converted to cater for 18 rooms (and large outdoor space for events. All tastefully decorated. The star really is the team who work here. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all so welcoming and helpful. The Hotel does hold events (weddings etc) here so be warned that some are loud. Personally I really liked this but appreciate it may not be for all (they didn’t go on that late either. Our room was well equipped and spacious although the air conditioning was a little loud. Overall. I would love to return as we had such a special time here.

    Noisy air conditioning.

Beautiful property, large rooms, lovely swimming pool and extremely friendly and helpfull staff. As hotel is a bit far from city center, hotel provides free shuttle bus service that you can use. Had a very lovely stay here, choose this hotel with no doubts!

During weekends hotels inner yard is popular to use for parties, so might double check if nothing is happening during your stay as it might get a bit noisy for sensitive and eraly sleepers

Beautiful property but a little far from centre

Air conditioning struggled with the heat.
