Zara Hotel

The lady at the reception was very nice and kind. The cleanliness was ok... parking in front of the hotel.

The price is way too high for what this hotel offers. Old hotel, in need of urgent renovation, located in a not exactly ok area. The reception does not work non-stop... Poor breakfast, and the only dinner we had there, although better, we do not recommend it. Dark room, no air conditioning, outdated furniture.

- Breakfasts and dinners with a wide selection of products, everything was fresh and tasty- Fridge and kettle in the room - amazing view - very nice staff- good location- warm water in the inside-pool, clean pools and saunas

- the furtniture and the design of the rooms were rather old, kinda 00' style - flooring in the inside pool needs replacement, same for the walls and the roof - there was quite a lot of mold around the jacuzzi and the rooftop window - water in the jacuzzi was too hot, also it smelled strangely (sth like plastic), not very pleasant experience in general- the coffee served in the restaurant was quite bad - the kids corner (or maybe I should call it a game area?) was rather sad, with a few machines that were switched off and quite old toys and games that were missing a lot of parts, the lay out of this room was also very strange - in general it looked heavy, sad and empty

They charge us 5 bgn for the slippers for the spa

Clean rooms, nice spa, friendly staff, perfect breakfast and dinner, free parking. The pool water is hot enough. You can have a 10 min walk to the ski lifts if you’re not a skiing od take the hotel van on every 20 min.

The rooms and the balcony need some renovation. The jacuzzi water doesn’t have regulation, it is extremely hot… someone might like it, but we didn’t. Spa towels and linen for the beds should be renewed

The rooms are warm, comfortable, the meals are ok, several choices for dinner, the pool area is warm , the water in pool aswell

Breakfast and dinner were reasonable

The spa was nice, nothing more. The mattress was not the most comfy but reasonable

Beyond delicious food , the desserts taste really good ,and the portions they served are enormous for one individual to solely consume .Praise for the staff that made our stay enjoyableAnd most importantly, excellent spa services .

The room was clean and comfortable, equipped with everything needed. We had a beautiful view to the mountain from my window. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a good deal of options for dinner.

I wish there were some dairy-free and gluten-free options for breakfast. If you're a solo traveller with no car, it's probably wise to avoid going out and back to the hotel in the dark hours because the location is a bit isolated.

When you book with Booking a room with the mention Accommodation only, you dont have access to the spa (which makes sense) but you cant even have access to the indoor or outdoor swimmingpools… You have to pay 30L per person per day

WARNING‼️ Hotel not like described. Very dirty and hazardous! We checked into the room and the toilet was making constant noise, after complaining we thankfully got a new room. The pool was not included in the price although on the website the pool and spa are mentioned separately and in the description it says only the spa costs extra, this is not the case! We decided to purchase a day pass for breakfast, swimming pool and spa for 60 Leva. Which was a big waste of money! First of all the breakfast was disgusting, very little options and the worst coffee and juice I've had in a Hotel. Second, the spa was a big disappointment. The tiles are loose, the wood is rotten and electrical wires hanging loose inside the pool. Also the pools are dirty with sand on the bottom and broken/loose tiles everywhere. Third, the cleaners don't do their job well, the first time we were still in the room when she tried to enter and we said don't come in. After that we hung the sign on the door to get our room refreshed with new towels and sheets. The only thing she cleaned was 1 bottle and she took out the trashcan, no new towels or sheets... Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel!!!

Room was big, clean and equipment very well..

When we made reservations we find out that pool and everything in hotel is not included in price. They give us a choice to change reservations with breakfast and then we can use pool and spa but that's it's a lot money per person. Because of that it's a bad expicence. Advice: Inform in time what you get for the price!

I liked that it was close to the center and all the shops but at the same time in a motel quite place.

The city is wonderful, many places to visit, good organization by the municipal authorities. If you are with children there are countless entertainments. The food in almost every restaurant is good.

The hotel is old and all the equipment is worn out, and the otherwise diligent and friendly staff cannot hide this. The TV is not working, if you need hot water, you will have to wait about 5 minutes. The children's center is in a terrible state, shabby, dirty and with non-working toys.

Clean, spacious room.

No air conditioning in the room. Summer days are hot and an air con is a must.

We have been to that hotel several times. The best part of the hotel is its staff. BOSCO at welcoming, PETYA at reception and YOHANA at the restaurant are always wonderful. Friendly, kind, helpful and always willing to fulfill anything you wish. The hotel is clean and spa area and swimming pool are nice. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and various, considering as hotel buffet food. Great wifi. Free shuttle bus to gondola and back available at ski resort working hours. We will definitely be back soon.

The hotel is located in Bansko but it not located at the region of gondola and apre ski life (cafes, restaurants and bars), it is about 1 km far away, so you have to get your car to go out or walk about 12 minutes. There was also sometimes a bad unpleasant smell at swimming pool and jacuzzi area. In addition, the hotel rooms at some points need a small renovation.

What I already wrote about what I liked. .all the rest amazing.Bansko is not able to attract enough tourism due to high prices from neighbouring EU countries. Bulgaria is a country of amazing hospitality and beautiful projects - there is no reason to have expensive ski using facilities to attract many customers.Kempinski hotel was full but the hotels in and around not and this is. A great pity. Bansko has open mind cultural landscape and needs more Youth Groups cultural artistic residences if tourism from neighbouring countries decreased in my opinion. It's a pity to see so much hospitality quiet- it has best coffee shops and art shops and in Razlog the first shopping center has opened???.It's sad that there are not enough healthy food spots in comparison with last two years ... perhaps it could not be that profitable...Bansko-Sandanski local EU regional funds must be invested in both municipalities urgently to revive tourism from Southern Balkans to Bansko and ensure its profitable season to give back to local population's efforts to keep Bansko clean and open for people.There is a new UNESCO museum ???!

Good food for breakfast, clean rooms.

We received a different room than the one we paid for. The room was smaller and we had to share the balcony of very small size with strangers even though we paid for the room with individual balcony. The bigger problem was that we didn't have acces to the light switcher from inside of our room, so we had to stay during the night with the light from the balcony in our eyes because the neighbours kept forgetting it on. Totally unpleasant.Our friends were in the same situation, when we went to the reception to change the rooms, they only gave our friends the room they paid for but they didn't have one for us. We didn't like the way the lady from the reception handled the situation.

We stayed half board and we’re all very disappointed with the temperature of the food served.We mentioned this to staff who acted shocked. It’s such a shame as we stayed for four days and the was the case for each day. I ate chicken burger from the bar on our final day and the was raw in the middle. I was slick in the lobby toilet after sending food back. It was a struggle to as for a refund or apology. Since arriving home I’m suffering from food poisoning. Very shocking. I’d stay at the hotel as pool area was amazing and the rooms were great but stay away for any warm food.

The location and access to the hotel was good.

Rooms were dirty, the staff was rude and demanding.
