- Excellent, friendly staff. A superb, deeply enthusiastic guide in the form of Tristan. Very well preserved - and described - rock art with more (and more varied) animals than expected all in incredibly beautiful landscapes. Food was invariably very good, pick up and return to Cape Town well organised.

The private dining in a secluded garden lit by lanterns was very memorable. The picnic complete with table and chairs was extraordinary in an amazing setting.
The location was absolutely incredible.Loved the drives in the wilderness and the walking safaris. The Staff and rangers were so helpful.
Very calm oasis dedicated to preserving the history of the area and protecting the environment for the future. Informative nature drives with Lara Wonderful food & wineExcellent service by friendly staff
Nothing!
The nature!
Hot water was not enough- No walking path to suit- it was very wet snd absolutly dark
Beautiful amenities and decor in both guestrooms, dining and lounge areas. Superb breakfast, lunch and high tea on outdoor patio with beautiful views. Grounds were immaculateFabulous /friendly staff in all areasAll meals were fresh, interesting and of excellent standard- Oliver is a world class chef! Informative game drivers. Whilst the Game sightings are limited, the scenery and rock art are fantastic.
The breakfast selection was fantastic and very good, nice portions. The only thing I would have suggested is that when the wind blows, that the breakfast service be moved to the Homestead.
The only thing I would have suggested is that when the wind blows, that the breakfast service be moved to the Homestead as the wind was rather strong during breakfast.
Stunning location, beautiful facilities, exceptional food but the truly special service from the whole team made it
A simply unforgettable 3 days at Bushman's Kloof as part of our honeymoon. Would recommend the optional extra 'exceptional dining' experiences - we did the private picnic lunch and dinner at the shepherd's hut and it was magical. We loved the activities - tried hiking, kayaking, archery and enjoyed the daily game drives. Seeing the cave art is really unique and interesting as well. The food is great, and the drinks selection is good too (alcohol not included in the all inclusive/full board rate). A truly special place!
We found service at meal times a little inconsistent
Very remote and cozy resort. You can really wind down and be one with nature. We liked the private dinners and the spa! We had an early and afternoon nature drive and it was lovely! The wild life you see are cape zebra’s, springbok, Gnoe, ostrich, snakes and lots of birds. It’s an amazing place for hiking, biking, relax, spa, nature and flora fauna lovers. Second time for us and we are definitely returning guest!
The booking system can be updated, rates are commonly higher on other sites
Poor
I was extremely disappointed in the quality of service and food and what the weekends costs. Yes we are South Africans but I think this is a big disappointment. We received no service at most meals - needed to walk into the kitchen to ask for salt and pepper and water. No service at all. We booked a secret location dinner - where you provide exactly the same dinner thats "included" 20 meters further in the breakfast area. No special effort - yet charging us double essentially. Extremely disappointed - tourist trap. :(
Food excellent, Staff very knowledgeable and friendly
bathrooms need an upgrade
Lovely setting
Not 5 star operational Tables setting: sometimes no serviettes, sometimes missing site plates, not all night lanterns worked , coffee nearly cold by time sugar came etc Not many animals on drive
An excellent stay with very helpful and friendly staff. Our designated guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the rock art, flora and fauna. The trips out morning and afternoon were a real highlight.
The breakfast was firstclass and the setting was beautiful, particularly first thing in the morning. We loved the view from our patio and as it was a special occasion, the staff went to great lengths to make our stay very special
The stunning setting, friendly efficient staff. Lovely food
Nothing to dislike
Very relaxing. Enjoyed the nature drives. Excellent guide. Good room and patio.
Some of the bar and restaurant staff could do with more training. For example one morning we were not asked if we wanted coffee/tea. Once we’d placed our food order, we then asked for the drinks. Our hot food came but still no drinks so had to ask (think they had been forgotten) and eventually the hot drinks were delivered by which time we’d almost finished breakfast.
Great food and general experience. Competent and pleasant guide.
The room was a bit smelly.
