Clanwilliam Hotel

Location was perfect and rooms were clean.

The hotel is very tired and in urgent need of refurbishment.The chlorine in the pool really burnt my eyes.

Spacious, clean, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely dinner, super towels, safe parking on the premises.

Beautiful spacious room with everything you need. Large bathroom with a bath and shower. Kettle, hairdryer, small freezer that gets stocked daily with water and milk sachets for coffee and tea.

Maybe more tv channels.

The pool that was dirty

Limited parking space. We did not feel comfortable parking the car out in the street - despite security.

The headboard is made of pleather, and it was peeling off. When we arrived there the pool was green and we mentioned it to the maintenance team, who corrected it for the next day. However, the room needs a clear revamp, there should be no reason that a peeling headboard is presented to guests.

Very good breakfast - plentiful, good variety & tasty, Bed was comfortable, Room was clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very good place to stay when travelling through this region.

Nothing specific - everything met my expectation of a country lodge.

Rooms needs to be upgraded and no shampoo in bathroom

The location. The front desk and manager were very helpful.there was no shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.The hotel needs an upgrade from reception area to the guest bathrooms very out dated.

We booked our first night (room only) via bookings.com and second night directly at the hotel and we received a better B&B rate. Rooms were overall in a good condition and staff helpful. Strong WIFI. Tasty food.

We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite free of charge. Massive room, massive bed, access to the pool and the restaurant food and service were really good.

Terrible experience. No noise policy, room next to mine was making noise till 4am so didn’t get much sleep. Not worth the price I paid

The parking is limited but its marketed as having safe parking. A booking system should be provided so people can ensure they get safe parking.

Shower , bed was awesome and aircon

Very upset because there was a party , shouting, people behaving badly , no hotel staff nor security came too tell them too shut up . Pool gets locked up at 7pm , coffee station very small , kettle under table .

It was fine for what we needed. Rooms are quite spacious..

The kids room had a smell.. looked like dampness.. the one morning at breakfast the waiter ignored us completely, only attended to the locals table that had a function. After 30 minutes he only asked us if we would like a warm breakfast. By then we already finished eating on cereals. Can be noisy during holidays from locals music etc..

Most friendly and helpful staff. The manager made every guest feel welcome and special and went out of her way to assist us when we had a crisis.
