Very clean. Very friendly, professional, helpful English speaking staff. They recommended an excellent restaurant walking distance from the hotel and helped us locate parking to go to the Tower of Pisa.

My room wasn¿t quite ready when I arrived so they cleaned it for me so that I could check-in. I really appreciated the hospitality. The air conditioning works great! It was just what I needed on my trip to Pisa. The location was probably the best part!

Top Tips
- Book Pisa hotels 2-3 months ahead for peak season (June-August) to avoid 20-50% price increases, especially around major city events like Luminara di San Ranieri (June 16) and the Regata (June 17). Consider flexible cancellation rates for added confidence during busy event weeks.
- Hotels within a 10-15 minute walk of Pisa Centrale train station offer convenient access to regional trains serving Florence (approximately 50-70 minutes), Lucca (17-25 minutes), and Livorno (20-25 minutes). Verify real-time train schedules using the Trenitalia app for smoother day trips.
- Driving into Pisa’s historic center (ZTL) without written hotel permission can trigger fines of €80-€100 (approx. $87-$109 USD). Always request written ZTL access confirmation from your hotel before arrival if you plan to park onsite.
- Many historic accommodations in Pisa’s centro storico lack elevators or have narrow stairs. Request an elevator-accessible or ground-floor room (piano terra) during booking for increased accessibility.
- Municipal tourist taxes (tassa di soggiorno) range from €1-€4 per person, per night (approx. $1.09-$4.35 USD), varying by property category. Confirm the rate on your booking confirmation, as payment is due onsite.
- The automated PisaMover connects the airport to Pisa Centrale station in 5-8 minutes for about €5 (approx. $5.45 USD), typically faster and less expensive than taxis. Purchase tickets from machines or online for the best rates.
- Municipal tap water in Pisa is potable. Bring a refillable bottle to reduce single-use plastic and save on water purchases during your stay.
- Pickpocketing risk increases in crowded areas like Piazza dei Miracoli and around the train station. Keep valuables such as passports and cards in your hotel safe or a front zip pocket.
- Many small Pisa hotels and B&Bs do not offer 24-hour reception. Arrange your check-in time in advance or confirm late check-in policies to avoid additional fees.
- Paid street parking (strisce blu) and hotel/private lots are common. Ask your hotel about nightly parking rates and whether they register your license plate for ZTL access.
