Uncomfortable beds, poor cleaning and...

I stayed at Hotel Villa Itala for a full week and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. Several significant issues made my stay uncomfortable and left me with a bad impression.The beds were two singles pushed together to form a double, which is common, but the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and worn out. I experienced severe back pain throughout my stay, and having already paid for the week in advance, I had no choice but to endure it. This needs urgent attention as it genuinely affected my well- being.The room was not thoroughly clean upon arrival. Additionally, my room faced other residential buildings with only a narrow alley separating them, offering zero privacy. The room was also dark due to the close proximity of the neighbouring apartments.The staff were generally unwelcoming. For the first couple of days, the male receptionist was helpful and polite, but eventually stopped greeting me altogether. The female receptionist never acknowledged me from the start. It felt uncomfortable being in a place where basic courtesy was lacking.At check-out I requested a receipt. That I received was a World document with my name and some incorrect information, definitely not a valid receipt. I chose not to argue and let it go, but this is highly unprofessional and raises serious questions about the hotel’s practices.Between the painful beds, unclean room, lack of privacy, unwelcoming staff, and the invalid receipt, I cannot recommend this hotel. The owners must replace the mattresses urgently and address their basic administrative and hospitality standards.

The great value for the money. Location is great, near to main train station, and the see walk street where the restaurants, stores and the coffee's are is just 200 m from the hotel.

The location is convenient—close to the train station and not far from the seaside. There’s a bit of a walk to the old town, but you don’t need to go often. Being near the train station makes it easy to visit other cities, and there’s also a bus station to San Marino nearby. The place is affordable, with great coffee at a good price. The staff were friendly and very responsive. Rooms were clean and tidied every day. Overall, good value for money. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

A few extra touches, such as some curtains, would not make it worse.

The location is easy access to the beach and close to the train station.

The room smelled of cleaning products, had poor lighting, the sheets had stains, the towels were low quality (they dry you and exfoliate at the same time), the Wi-Fi signal is weak and intermittent, and the hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

When I first entered my room, I was quite pleased, but...

... stains on the sheets. Overall quite noisy surroundings and bad soundproofing. There was a fire door in the corridor close to my room that slammed close very loudly everytime someone passed through. Instead of installing a new dampener, they put a sign up saying "please don't slam the door", which everyone ignored. This was so loud that the windows rattled each time. They let washing machines run at night, not very professional.

Near the train station as I just stopped there for a night.Reception staff Elena was super friendly, happily gave me a cup of tea when I was sitting at the common room. Facilities, room were a bit tired, simple but all ok, just to sleep and go.Price was exceptionally low in low season.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, although the weather wasn’t really suitable for swimming during my stay.It’s a great base for exploring all the main sights in Rimini, and the bus stop to San Marino is also just a short walk away.There’s a small Carrefour Express nearby that has everything you might need.The Wi-Fi worked well throughout the hotel, and the reception was always staffed and helpful.My room was cleaned and tidied up every day, which I really appreciated.I didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that.Overall, it’s a solid choice — you really can’t go wrong staying here.

The hotel is so near the seaside that you cannot ever get lost. Staff is always reachable and kind to everyone. Meals are diverse and extensive. No problems at all

Good location, close to the beach and the city center. Not the most modern but a decent hotel.

It’s a very good and nice place which is just 15 minutes far from the central station and about 10 minutes far from the sea. The staff is amazing and they speak many languages

My room didn't have a balcony. The towels were not white enough.

Good location and value. Ten minutes walk from train station or seafront. I had a good sized room and food was good. The staff are good but never smile, therefore not very friendly but the breakfast assistant was very pleasant.

Dinner is only served at 730pm, no earlier or later, so restaurant is always full.

The room was a good size and it was clean and comfortable, there was also a large balcony, it was good value for money although I did visit during the off season, the property was well placed for anyone who wants to go to the beach, the Staff were always friendly and helpful, I was given a free coffee on arrival which was a nice touch. Nothing to complain about really.
