Great location. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

Bathroom was a bit cramped.

Excellent location in the center of town. Staff was very personable and helpful with requests. Very late check in past midnight was possible. Air conditioning in room. Nice breakfast bar and great cappuccino.

The hotel is centrally located near the major sites that a tourist would enjoy. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is wonderful. The front staff is friendly and helpful. Many restaurants are nearby. Recommended.

The rooms are a bit small including the bathroom. This is expected in an older city hotel.

Proximity to the central piazza was amazing. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfasts were included with a variety of food. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. A wonderful gelateria opposite the front door.

Small shower was a bit awkward.

The fact that you could not access rooms without stairs, a difficulty for two 75+ ladies. I had researched lift and a/c as requirements. Both were there, but to get to the lift was about 8 stairs and from the lift to our room was about 10 stairs. That needs to be mentioned in the review. As much as I loved everything else about the hotel, this would have been a deal breaker as carrying a 35 pound suitcase up and down the steps was extremely difficult. There was only one person and no one to assist.

Very stark in the rooms. Bed was like a rock and so were the pillows.

I was unable to receive an email response to my query about leaving bags before check-in. After 2 tries I asked our hotel in Bologna to call them.

Great location, wonderful and very polite staff, clean rooms

The location was wonderful. There was a nice view from the window. The breakfast was good. I stayed in Ravenna three nights at a different location and wish I had stayed all four nights at the Centrale Byron.

I can’t think of a negative except that I ate waaay too much at a restaurant recommended by the staff!

Very good location, nice warm rooms (cold November visit), excellent beds, very good breakfast, lovely staff. Due to a train strike we had to stay an extra night, staff very helpful. Reception staffed all night. Handy for all of Ravenna's mosaic locations, also worth a visit are the Ravenna Museum and Dante's Tomb (be there at 5pm for a live reading from The Divine Comedy). Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from train station. Nothing to complain about, good stay.

The morning was a typical Italian hotel breakfast consisting of various sliced meats, rolls, boiled eggs, cereals, yogurts and sweets. My only complaint is that the sliced meats had to be requested from the server. They were not out so you could help yourself like every other Italian hotel I’ve been in. Because I’m a visitor, I’m not sure what the difference is between cooked ham and raw ham. Also, what if I wanted more meats, less cheese. Hard to tell them to take it back so there is no waste.

The air conditioner was turned off for the season, and it was warm and humid out. The windows had no screens and there were mosquitoes out, so the choice at night was sweat in the room or get bitten by mosquitoes with the room a little more comfortable otherwise.

The location made it for me. Right in the square where there were great restaurants and UNESCO sites.

The staff was so so with friendliness, I did not like that you had to request the meats and cheeses and so many sweet options for breakfast.

Loved everything, Staff was amazing and so helpful. Breakfast was very nice and location could not be beat. We had a larger room than our friends but theirs was more than adequate.

A staff in the kitchen, Natasha was very kind and nice.

Air conditioner was not working properly. It was very hot outside and old air conditioner was not working well. We were very warm inside room even though we turned on the air conditioner. We asked a staff at the reception desk about air conditioning, he git upset our complaints about old air conditioning.
