Hotel Classensis

Excellent hotel. Quiet and very convenient location. Outstanding staff – everyone is very friendly and helpful with any request. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the cleanliness characterizes all the hotel’s facilities. The restaurant is one of the best I have encountered in Italy and is highly recommended whether or not you are staying at the hotel. It was a pastoral experience, and we will definitely return to the hotel in the future.

We wanted to see the famous mosaics of St Apolinaris in Clase and the hotel was right in front!!Spacious room, nicely decorated, quite environment, great view

It was cold in the room when we arrived and there was only air-conditioning to heat the room.

Very nice hotel. Katrina was especially helpful, and everyone else was nice also. The hotel was right next to one of the churches we wanted to see, and the town was about 2 miles away. The breakfast was excellent and bountiful. We ate 2 dinners there which were also good. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meal in the restaurant was very good. It's in a quiet area. It has free parking.

No lift to the first floor. I always appreciate a kettle in the room.

Very poor

This was the most annoying stay on our trip around Italy. There was no hot water in the bathroom. If you opened just the hot water it wasn't much hotter than the cold water and the flow was very low. The hair dryer was not working properly. It was impossible to turn the air conditioning off with the controls. Overall it was uncomfortable.

Location - next door to wonderful basilica. Decor was new, large, well furnished bedroom, good dinner menu

We always felt like we were part of a big friend group when we arrived each day back to the hotel even tho they couldn’t always hold converstation because of an language barryer. Even tho some part of the staff, inculding the owner, couldn’t speach much english he always said hi and joked around. Such an amazing stay

The things that were wrong were such a small thing that they don’t even matter. Like the breakfast hadn’t always been “watched” by the staff compleatly meaning sometimes it was missing milk or something abut they immidetly fixed it when they noticed it. But otherwiche the service were perfect

The hotel's cuisine is excellent. We ate there several times in the evening and the food was very good. Everything was clean. The staff was very friendly, direct and helpful. Parking was always easy and free. We would probably choose this hotel as accommodation on our next trip to the region.

The only "shortcoming" was perhaps at breakfast. Mainly sweet dishes like cakes were served. We missed a few vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time. Great cuisine, friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable. It was so lovely to have a restaurant and bar at the hotel. The food was amazing and the wine good! We had a great afternoon after a long day of travel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. From here it was a little further from the cruise port but the train was easy and the bus.

The AC was not really keeping up with the humidity but it was manageable.

Great location. Very quiet and easy to access. huge parking outside the building. Good coffee and pizzeria on the ground floor. The area is very green. 5 minutes drive there is a great amusement park. Would recommend to families and solo travellers too.

I loved it here, I was traveling with my dog and just outside of the hotel there is a park and so much green space to let her run. The parking was private, inside the hotel area and for free so this was very helpful. The stuff is nice, dinner was very good and at fair money. I’ll come back for sure during my trips in Italy.

Although the hotel is about three miles from the center of Ravenna, it is located next door to the beautiful Basilica di Sant'Apollinare in Classe. The 6th-7th century mosaics in the apse are spectacular. The hotel itself is situated in a lovely, peaceful garden with outside dining. An added plus is the hotel's private parking lot just steps away from the main entrance. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant that serves breakfast (included in the room rate) and dinner.

It was our third time in Classensis. Always good, quiet, good location. Parking no problem, restaurand good (local people take the morning coffee there and come for dinner!).

Beautifull enterior, comfortable, clean...the location is wonderful, the hotel is right next to the church. The restourant is full of locals and the atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic! Compliments to the chef.

Beautiful comfortable room. Lovely location next to ancient basilica. Gorgeous food in the restaurant and delightful restaurant staff, really kind and caring. A lovely stay.

The staff was very nice and understanding with our dog, even if she was tired and grumpy from the long journey. Thank you! Great place for visiting the whereabouts and also the beach, great food (very tasty pizza).
