Grand Hotel Mattei

Staff was very friendly, restaurant was fabulous, room was clean and comfortable, and shuttle bus to the cruise port was super convenient!!

When got off elevator to go to room, all lights in hallways were out, eventually lights came on flickering. Rugs badly stained. Staff walked into my room unannounced at 11:00pm when we were falling asleep.

The staff, very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Breakfast had excellent selection

Outside of bidet was soiled with feces and couldn't use.

The lady at the front desk with the brown hair is very rude! Also the beds are so hard!

Rooms were nice. Location was convenient as we were starting a cruise the next day, and the transfer bus stopped directly in the hotel parking lot. Food was good .

Dining room was so crowded for dinner that we had to order room service to avoid eating at a very late hour. This hotel seems to host a lot of business meetings and conferences, which was probably the cause of the crowded dining room. No other restaurant options nearby, unfortunately.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, spacious rooms, great location a d easy to use public transport to get to the City. Ideal hotel to stay at before a cruise. They even arrange a shuttle bus service to take you right into the cruise port (15 Euros per person).

Breakfast was truly the highlight of the entire trip. Front desk was the only other bonus, Antonio and Julie were amazing despite what happened the night of check in.

I experienced deeply unacceptable and discriminatory treatment at this establishment. After a long day of travel, I arrived at 8:30 PM hoping to dine at the restaurant before its 10:00 PM closing time. Despite the front desk strongly recommending it as my best option, I was denied entry.It was evident that this was not a simple matter of availability. The manager systematically turned away every non-white guest while simultaneously accommodating other patrons. The front desk was complicit and offered no meaningful assistance after the fact.This was a shameful display of racism. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this hotel, as well as the Grand Hotel Mattei group for knowingly allowing such behavior to flourish within its properties.

It met our needs as a location. The staff was awesome!

It felt abandoned when we drove up to it as the exterior was not well kept or beautiful.

The room, particularly the bed was very comfortable and the television offered sky sports, which was important to me to watch the tennis. There is no exercise room although I did find a patio in the back to do my exercises. There’s a short walk to the nearby bus stop for connections to other parts of the city. The restaurant offers a very nice breakfast offering buffet style and there is a dinner service as well, and the staff are very attentive and the food selection is good.

No complaints- all staff were welcoming and attentive. One issue not the properties responsibility is bus service is not available after 8 PM and I had trouble finding Taxis to return to the hotel one evening.

Easy check in process. Very warm and welcoming and accommodating staff. Beautiful room. Calming atmosphere. Restaurant was outstanding. Very delicious food and drinks. Very easy checkout process. Staff was very eager to make any arrangements we asked for.

Loved everything about the property.

This is a nicer modern hotel. Beds were comfortable and the room had a great shower and amenities. Full breakfast buffet was amazing. Transportation to cruise port can be arranged at front desk or online in advance.

Everything was great.

Hotel room was clean and spacious with modern amenities. The restaurant on site was excellent, but make reservations for dinner if you expect to eat there. We were lucky and they were able to accommodate us. If you stay here for a cruise, don't forget to book a transfer or private driver to take you. The hotel doesn't directly offer these services.

It was okay

The bed smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There’s not much around there. We ate at their restaurant and food wasn’t good.
