Hotel San Geminiano

So friendly and helpful. My first trip to Europe was incredible. I traveled alone and felt very safe here.

The friendly multilingual staff, wonderful breakfast, location right beside the historic centre.

It's a simple place but super well managed and mantained in a family business. Staff were so kind and nice.Super clean and well organized..Very good breakfast for an affordable price.Excelent ratio cost-beneffits.

I paid 500€ only for 3 nights in this hotel. And i stayed in one single bed room. It was not clean and the price was way too much for this 2 stars hotel.

Good location and comfortable.

Rooms were a bit smelly and outdated.

Very close to the center city and very quiet at night. Rooms are very spacious. One of the best options when it comes to hotels in Modena as it’s reasonably priced compared to other hotels. There are no thrills in this hotel but everything functions as it should.

Good location close to main bus routes and good walking distance to the town center. There are some very good restaurants, gelateria, and bakery a few minutes walk from hotel.

A soap dish in the shower would be nice, along with nicer soap, and the toilet water in the toilet bowl flushed from the front, leaving a large turd in the back of the bowl that was not being flushed because of the location of the flushing water. Very strange to have a toilet that flushes from the front, and this stank up the room.

Close to town and an easy walk to get around. Good size room and bathroom that has been updated. Helpful staff with sights to see and restaurants to eat.

I didn’t dislike anything. It’s an old building, but I knew that going in. The room was small, but I only needed it for sleeping.

We loved the location with parking on site. Marco, our host, was warm and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel was very goodvalue and we would stay again.

The room was clean and cozy. Great air-conditioning. The staff was very nice.

Not the most modern room but definetley had all it needed.

I arrived at the hotel around midnight and left early in the morning (skipped breakfast). I recommend the hotel to travelers who travel on a budget and need a place to spend a night or two. The room was clean, the location was good and the price was reasonable. The receptionist was friendly.

The facilities are worn out. Just have that in mind if you consider staying in this hotel. I give it a rating of 5 because under no circumstances can I describe this hotel as very good (rating 8). In terms of overall experience I could probably give it a 3 or 4, but I give it a 5 taken in consideration the price which was quite affordable in comparison to other hotels in the area.

quiet neighborhood, friendly staff, clean and spacious room. It is away from the train station, but there are bus routes nearby, such as route 4.

This is an old and quite worn out hotel, and the 2 stars perfectly reflect the standard. However, still a good place for 1-night stay, with a lovely and very helpful gentelman at the reception desk, as well as surprisingly rich and good breakfast buffet.

Rooms are begging for renovation (and that includes bathrooms, too)

Bathroom was recently refurbished as was the breakfast room. Staff were very friendly. Good location for walking into the old town.

Kerb appeal wasn’t great - rubbish in parking area, and reception a little shabby

Yes a little dated, but served our purpose absolutely perfectly. Marco (the owner?) was just the nicest person, explained everything well and messaged to check if we needed further instructions. Hotel is 4 min walk from Franceschetta 58 - if you’re visiting for dinner it’s absolutely spot on location. Also 15 min walk to Piazza Grande. Free parking, clean rooms and the bathroom, lovely staff. Great value for money in our opinion.

Bed can be a little noisy, but if you’re as tired after day of exploring as we were, you’ll fall asleep in no time ?

Location is very central and there is a bus stop as soon as you step outside of the hotel, which is a bonus. Staff were extremely helpful and room was clean.
