Superb staff, location, decor, room

Lack of coffee making facilities and ironing board within the room - though managed to use their laundry room and coffees with breakfast were superb!

Hotel Cervette 5 is a family owned boutique hotel in the historic centre of Modena. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room we stayed in was clean, welcoming and comfortable after a day’s sightseeing. Great location for what we wanted during our trip. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is in the heart of the city Cozy interior. Very kind communication with language barrier.

Receptionist had very limited English. The sliding door in the bathroom is noisy and difficult to operate.The beds are uncomfortable and smaller than my expectations.

The lady who was perhaps the proprietor was utterly charming and helpful; and at breakfast, which was beautifully presented, she anticipated every one's needs. Also, when we left luggage downstairs on arrival, it had been taken up to our room by the time we returned.

Our bathroom was rather small.

Hotel Cervetta in Modena is a little gem with a truly welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are simple yet charming, perfectly clean, and in a great location just steps from the historic center. What really makes the stay unforgettable, though, is the service at the front desk. The receptionist is exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful with every detail, from restaurant recommendations to arranging last-minute requests. That level of care makes you feel less like a guest and more like a friend being looked after.

Beautiful little hotel, where we checked in at 11 PM after our Airbnb didn't work out (the AC was broken with 30 degrees Celsius inside the apartment, among other things) The staff was absolutely lovely, no problems whatsoever ( speak English, Italian, Spanish and Romanian). Our room was ready in the 20 min it took us to get there by foot with our luggage. Excellent recommendations for eating out, or going to the nearby Allbinelli. We went from a horrible start to a wonderful ending, so much so that we would choose to stay with them again. The staff even helped us out and we got to iron our clothes, finally! The rooms are spacious, if simple. For a few days there isn't any need of more, especially with the Albinelli market just 2 min away. The breakfast they serve, they bring their stuff fresh from the market everyday. The Ac works wonderfully, the beds are comfortable. 10 out of 10 for me, would stay again with hotel Cervetta, and a part why we liked Modena so much.

No mini fridge in the room in case you want to buy water or juice to have it, but it's such a small thing that it didn't bother us really

It was beyond expectations, there were no elevators and the foreman, I think he was one of the owners, didn't even offer to carry our luggage up two floors by stairs. It was a truly horrible experience.

It smelled damp in the room

Great localization, safe area, nice and helpful stuff, reception open 24h. Cathedra, town hall and market just around the corner.

If you have problem with walking, please note that there is no lift in the hotel.
