    Pros +

    • The personnel was excellent. The breakfast was amazing, rich and had a large boufet. Also the location was great, in the heart of the city
    • It was an old property with many historic features, including portraits of the family who, previously lived there. There was a courtyard and a beautiful gardens. It was quite close to shopping , Churches, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was FABULOUS. The barroom was spacious, clean and bright.
    • The hotel’s interior is amazing, all hand painted walls and vintage furniture, lovely! The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast area in the garden is very beautiful. The staff were kind, welcoming and helpful as well. Would visit the hotel again, full recommendation!

    Cons -

    • The room was really bad. Smelled badly, the wall had mold in some parts, and the water pressure in the shower was really weak.
    • The room was quite tired, the carpeting was dirty and needed to be replaced, the wall were scuffed and needed a good cleaning.
    • The “grandeur” of the hotel was obviously many decades ago, and everything was in dire need of paint and care. The first room we got, there were dark oil stains on the headboard from years of people leaning against it. The staff were understanding and we got a new room, which was slightly better. The bed was really uncomfortable and felt a bit like an airbed. The drapes were broken, and the breakfast was not worth it. It all has an air of forgotten. Quite a shame as the building itself has so much potential, we hope a refurbishment is in plans, the great staff who work hard there, deserve it.

We loved the staff, they were so sweet and helpful and even gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco on my birthday. If it was based on the staff alone, the review would be 10/10.

Serena at the front desk was so helpful and kind. She should be promoted. The breakfast was okay, presented well, lacking in substance. Though the wait staff excellent.

Small pokey rooms, dated designs, couldn’t control heating in rooms, no kettle etc.

    7RoxannePosted on: 12-11-2025

People at reception desk were great!

No USB and only one outlet to charge from.

    3MariaPosted on: 12-3-2025

Location. Breakfast was decent and breakfast staff were friendly.

Rude and unhelpful reception staff. Hotel was old and tired. Our rooms weren’t ready but when they were our bags weren’t taken up to our rooms. We weren’t told there was a flight of stairs after we got out of the elevator to drag 3 heavy bags up. When we entered our rooms it was dark as the curtains and shutters hadn’t been opened. no way of knowing what number to ring for reception. No coffee machine, just packets of powdered coffee, plastic cups and wooden stirring sticks.

Very central location and easy to drive to. Beautiful old Palazzo, part of a modern hotel chain. Our room was maybe a little dated, but absolutely spotless and perfectly comfortable and great value for money.

Staff experience was a bit hit and miss. Some couldn't do enough for you. The mini buffet to greet guests was a lovely touch, but then the receptionist clearly felt that he was born for better things than checking in guests. It happens, good staff is difficult to find in hospitality, but it's a shame, especially when everybody else is trying so hard.

Location is excellent, quiet but close to the center. Staff is extremely nice and helpful and hotel is really clean.

    Breakfast roomLocation Welcome coffee

Room condition. Very expensive for what you get. Noise in the corridor and the elevators. Smell of the ground level.

    10AnnaPosted on: 11-17-2025

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of salty and sweet choices. The room was more than enough for one person, but my booking was for two, and in that case it would have been tight.Location is central in the historical area. The common areas are spectacular with frescos on walls and the roof.

Floor is carpet and in some areas should be changed

Location is good. it is in old town. Parking is secured and you have access with car even though it is car restricted area.

Hotel is not good. it is old and smells weird. The most disappointing thing about is is that we didn't get rooms we paid for.I have called after booking to check and confirm all, and still I guess they served rooms they had available, instead of what is booked.

Friendly staff; lovely breakfast; comfortable beds; great location.

    Nothing - I liked everything.

delicious breakfast, great coffee and excellent position of the hotel with the garage next by

the hotel is in such a state that renovation is necessary, the walls need to be painted

Well, booked through Booking.com and was not happy with the room at all!!However, upon expressing this to front desk we were moved to a better room by a porter.

That they thought for one second was acceptable to put us in a room that was Not clean (carpet, drapes- not comfortable bed)

    8KathrynPosted on: 11-2-2025

The location and staff were excellent and the suite was very large and well appointed. There was also a very nice Breakfast buffet.

The heating in the room did not work consistently.

    Good breakfast, friendly staff

    A little outdated

    6DragoPosted on: 10-17-2025

Beautiful outdoor patio for breakfast. Exceptional.

A little investment in refurbishment would go a long way. The rooms are antiquated.

    8LuciaPosted on: 10-16-2025

Excellent location, kind staff and great parking (street AND private! :P

I liked being able to park my car inside (for a fee) and i like how near everything was. Breakfast at the garden was also lovely.

Once you get there, it was wonderful. Important to reserve garage parking as the area is restricted. Staff and breakfast was very good. Two blocks from city center.

Hard to get there initially. Not drivable.
