Beautiful view, tranquil, amazing traditional bungalows

Not very many bikes to rent.

We loved everything!!! Wonderful view, private beach, clean and nice bungalow with very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast with daily changing dishes and sweet surprises, absolutely everything tasted amazing and always a variety of choices, very friendly welcoming staff

Nothing to complain about

The pool was lovely and clean, the environment was tidy and pretty. Everything was well maintained. The staff were very friendly. The meals were all good. There are some local shops in walking distance and there are ATMs on the island. Most places prefer cash.

It was very difficult to arrange a transfer from the mainland when the flight time changed. Be aware that the standard transfer is limited, last ferry is about 4pm. Breakfast is served from 8-10am , be aware that you can ask for a “lunchbox “ if you are getting picked up for a tour or diving before 8am.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Organised scooter and side car and return boat for us. Beautiful spot to have a drink, dinner and watch the sunset and unwind

Absolutely wonderful, we stayed here as a family of 4 and as it was a last minute booking (day before!) there weren't any bungalows left on the beach. We had read the one we would be getting was across the road and up a hill and so had slight reservations. We had no need to be concerned! Our family bungalow was absolutely perfect and we actually were so glad we had this one instead of any at the 'main area'. We had the whole area to ourselves as it was low season (April 10th-13th) and it was perfect;The pool is just beautiful, the rooms absolutely huge and gorgeous, outdoor shower, good air-conditioning and a adjoining patio area between the two double rooms. We were surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens/greenery and each bungalow has 2 reclining sun beds with comfy cushions, there were also plenty of these around the pool with umbrellas. It was like we had our own private resort!! We ventured down to the restaurant, a mere 60 second walk and you pass a shop on the way for supplies. The restaurant served lovely food and drinks and this is where the main resort is. Peaceful, a pool and lots more bungalows. As we were truly spoilt by our 'private resort' area up the hill, we were glad to return there after dinner, no noise from other people or children ? The pictures do not do this place justice. We also hired a scooter with a side car and ventured about. So the beaches are not as picturesque on this island due to low tide revealing more of a muddy sand, but high tide you can swim in it. We went to Laem Had Beach 5 minute scooter ride away where you need to visit at high tide or just after to capture the 'joining' of the two sides of the sea. We swam in the sea and it was lovely. I would definitely stay here again, and only in the bungalows up the hill! Oh also the towels smelt amazing! And the staff also did some washing for us that also smelt amazing!

- The resort has a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. It is on sunrise side of the island and the beaches on this side are not great for swimming. If you want to swim in the sea you would have to drive elsewhere. But this was fine for us.- Staff were very helpful and accommodating. - Good Breakfast with lots of choices.-Restaurant had a large food and drink menu and not too expensive.- Bungalows are rustic but very nice. We were worried about bugs due to the outdoor shower, but it was not a problem. -Very quiet and peaceful location, there was a mini mart and a few restaurants close by. This part of the island is much quieter than loh pared for example and it is a 25 minute drive from the pier, but we enjoyed it and was not a problem because we had our motorbikes.-Overall we were very impressed and I would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. But looking tired and in need of some upgrades. Room we stayed in was very dark. Good selection for breakfast.

The setting is gorgeous and the rooms are lovely. The breakfast beside the beach is wonderful.

There is not much to do in the vicinity of the hotel. The price was high for Thailand.

Restaurant staff somewhat lacks a sense for service and did not appear to enjoy their job.

Very unique place, liked swimming pool and breakfast, also good food for lunch or dinner.

We had a lovely 3 day stay. The view from the infinity pool was amazing. Glad we could hire a car across the road and explore the island. Bed not the most comfy but room clean and good value for the price. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Dinner did make us sick so perhaps look at eating elsewhere. Massage in hut on beach was terrific. Pool surrounds need renewing

Great little resort hotel located on the sea front. A good sized pool over looking the sea with plenty of loungers. Rooms were very nice with good facilities. Very nice staff, and easy motorbike hire.

Great waterfront location with beautiful views. Fabulous breakfast. Lovely pool with plenty of sun lounges. Friendly staff. Basic, but very comfortable bungalows with outdoor showers. Very good value for money.

Mattress was not very comfortable.

A MUST: GET THE SEA VIEW ROOM!! What a view to wake up to or have a bath with th3 sea view rooms. Hired a motorbike from the resort which gave us complete freedom to explore the island. Prettily much 1 road goes around the island so easy to get around. It's almost a must to have a bike unless you don't want to leave the resort. There is a shop opposite for basic needs. Breakfast was pretty good and had plenty of options. Had a massage on the beach giving you lovely sounds of th3 waves but no people noises. Overall; if you want tranquil, peace and great authentic food - come here. Don't expect a night life at all. What you get is time with your family alone, and plenty of great restaurants to eat and chat.

Only tiny think i can say is: Cocktails were nice but not great. And I wish we had longer at the island on that resort.!!!

Location

Lack of knowledge from staff, security not good as cleaning staff left room unlocked and not good service in restaurant ( shame because the food was excellent).

The location was great, the facilities were fantastic (swimming pool, restaurant, accommodation etc) - breakfast was definitely one of a few best in Thailand - can highly recommend this resort

There was music from an unknown source until early hours in the morning that was bad (not from the resort) but this is sort of a common problem where ever we traveled in Thailand - nothing the resort could do about that so I recommend investing in some earplugs to manage this problem - I think all resorts (accommodation) in Thailand must impose "No smoking" at their facilities (like swimming pools) where children are playing

If you want to swim in the ocean you have to climb the stairs directly into the water. The food in the restaurant was not really tasty (except for the breakfast) and it took very long and was overpriced. Very noisy at night due to motorbikes passing by and neighbours talking/laughing/shouting until midnight. (locals)

The vast majority of the staff does the minimum to satisfy customers (lack of sympathy, they are not helpful). Management needs to be clearly improved.

Really a great place! Very big, clean, new room. Two great swimming pools (one with salty water and nice warm), great breakfast, great location (5min by motorbike to 7/11, locals restaurants, beach,…). One more shop (alcohol drinks as well) on the main street directly at the resort. You can rent a motorbike at the resort (300 bath/day). Also very close to the pier.

There is no good beach directly from the resort but Ko Yao is not so much about beaches, it is more about beautiful nature, local life, it is a very quite and peaceful place. We spent 4 weeks in Thailand travelling around, the best place to sleep was this place! Thank you!!
