Rooms are pretty small

Great staff! Excellent facilities, large pools long enough to swim laps right on your backdoor (or a little stair from your balcony right into the pool). Great breakfast with restaurant in front of the beach. Nice beach with hundreds of meters of sand during low tide.

Wifi was fast but was disconnecting and reconnecting frequently. It was a bit annoying while doing online work. Othet than that, no other complaints.

The hotel is huge but we had most of the place to ourselves. Teh buildings are a little old but the rooms and the facilities are first class. The pools were empty so it was nice to just chill.The entrance to the beach is nice and the beach itself was clean, lots of local places to eat and drinkOne of the best breakfast buffets we have had. All very fresh.

We were the only car on the property so we got a parking spot near the restaurantGetting to the resort is also unclear. More signs needed on the main road.

I wouldn’t even know where to start . I have nothing but the highest praise for Blue Bay Resort . Staff is extremely helpful and accommodating , nothing was ever any trouble and when we needed assistance or advice , they were so quick to help . Always smiling , always happy. Rooms are beautiful ( we had the one with direct access to the pool , I’d recommend you get one of those as can just walk out of your room and jump straight into the pool .) with great ac , fridge , kettle and hair dryer . Very spacious , great beds , Suoer clean . Also our room got cleaned every day ( we left 200 baht tip in the end as the housekeeping ladies were so lovely ) .Food in the restaurant is delicious , you really have no need to eat anywhere else as they also do fantastic barbecues on the beach in the evening and it’s cheap . We had breakfast included and my god , how many choices to choose from . Curries , fish , chicken , rice ,potatoes , banana bread and super yummie sweet cakes , salads , fresh fruit , eggs , continental food , you name it , they had it . I was honestly looking forward to breakfast bar every morning when waking up . I honestly missed it when we left . We spent 9 days here and it wasn’t even enough .The hotel is right on the beach and has a bar surrounded by tall coconut palm trees . Beach is stunning , you can walk either side . Right side is the busier bit , with shops and restaurants , left side is completely secluded ( where the monkeys are ) . The hotel also offers free kayaks for guests. I honestly loved this place so much I would definitely be back , and will drag my friends along with me . It’s the most perfect spot on Ko Yao Yai !

The property was fantastic all round. We read some reviews and were unsure what it would be like, however upon arriving and meeting the friendly staff we were sure it was going to be a pleasant stay. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was very well kept. The floors, bed and bathroom were very nice. Usually I am slightly disappointed when viewing a hotel room, however not here. My partner and I were very pleased with our pool access room.The pool was amazing and included floaties for us to play on. We had some friends staying in the same pool access area so was amazing to be able to swim around to their flat and sit on the balcony too. We ended up enjoying the stay so much that we had to book an extra night. The free kayak and free breakfast really made the stay special. Super pleased with the variety at breakfast and the amazing food and the lovely food eating area. There are steps leading from the lobby directly to the beach where you could see amazing sunsets. We did visit in low season so the resort was lovely and peaceful and we will definitely be returning.

The bathrobes may have been unused in the cupboard for a while and started to collect dust. Maybe just a quick check on them as they looked super comfy. I’m sure the well trained and nice staff would have happily changed it if we asked.

The hotel was nice but the pool was quite dirty!The locker in our patio door was broken.Not enough sunbeds on the beach.Really slow service- had to wait over 15 mins for ice coffee.Overall nice hotel but needs improvements

We loved our stay here. Blue Bay has so much character. The gardens are well maintained. There is a relaxed vibe throughout the resort. You just feel at ease. Rooms are clean and you can dive from your room to the pool. I saw a lot of reviews saying there were only tourists from China which is not the case. Not that we would mind but I do want to mention that this is not true. We met people of all kind of ethnicities Also breakfast wasn’t as bad as the reviews say. There were a lot of options and it was quite okay!I do have a little bit of advice: it would be nice if the room cleaning wash off the glasses/coffeecups or replace them everyday with new ones. However, not a dealbreaker. It is almost fully renovated and after they will renovated the last parts of the resort they should ask a lot more (in my opinion). Also location is great. Enough restaurants, scooter/car rentals nearby and you can walk right to the beach. Would recommend!

Everything. Large room, comfortable mattresses, daily cleaning, access to the pool, beautiful hotel area. Delicious breakfast with a wide selection of Asian and European options (omelette and scrambled eggs on request). Nice English-speaking staff. Possibility to borrow a canoe for free. Beautiful beach with sunbeds. Beautiful hotel for a reasonable price on a beautiful island (we recommend a scooter) we hope to come back someday.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Everything. Rooms spotless a d big. Pool outside rooms were awesome. Pink flamingos and transparent canoes in pool were a lovely fun touch. Staff and breakfast amazing! Couldn't fault it.

Friendly staff, clean space, great access to the pool and beach! We loved that kayaks and breakfast was included in our accommodations. Amazing sunsets!!! We rented a motorcycle to get around the island which was just a few streets over.

Make sure to come to breakfast early as it gets busy with many families staying in the resort.

Super clean hotel with good English speaking staff, except in the restaurants. Location was good. Everything easily accessible by scooter.

The only thing we unfortunately have to criticise for the price was the selection for vegans.. they did not exist

We loved the setting the resort was in so close to the beach. The room Was amazing with doors straight out to a sitting areas and the pool which was great. The cleaning staff were amazing and came every day without fail and the staff on reception were very helpful with any queries you may have. Would definitely stay here again.

The food in the restaurant was a bit expensive compared to nearby restaurants. The breakfast wasn’t really for British, more for chineses/asian so not much choice.
