    Pros +

    • location was good.
    • Koh Yao Beachfront was a great place for our 2 families with young kids to explore Koh Yao Yai. Getting around the island was really easy via taxi or motor bikes. We stayed in fan huts which were clean and comfortable. The owners were very nice and helpful.
    • Great place to relax for a couple of days. They have several hammocks, sun chairs and swings.Friendly and helpful staff. The bamboo huts are simple yet have everything that you need incl. warm water in the shower if needed. Also every hut has a covered sitting area which is great when it rains.Breakfast was nice as well though heavy on carbs/sugars: mango sticky rice, fresh fruits and toast with jam - for vegetarians and omnivores there are even more options.

    Cons -

    • beach is terrible, muddy bottom, not possible to swim.
    • Nothing. For vegans it would be nice to also have something salty and a good vegan protein source for breakfast - but I wasn't expecting it anyways.
    • The beach is not that inviting for swimming (of course this is a matter of taste).

Good value for money. Friendly staff, good location. In the morning you can take long walks on the beach (I walked to Laem Haad beach). Huge lizards living in the bush next to the bungalows. :)

The beach is not that inviting for swimming (of course this is a matter of taste).

Beautiful location, very comfortable and clean

The place is stunning. The bay is super beautiful, probably the best of the island and the resort is very well located. The chilling area and the pond behind make the properly really special and really beautiful.

But all the beauty of the place gets ruined with the owners. Bad vibes. They seemed to be a couple that hate each other and the world. They only want your money offering you tours but then they barely speak english and to the questions:Can you ride a bike on the island? When is low tide? Is there any yoga place around? The answers are: i don’t know (and i don’t care)We also got EXTREMELY bitten the first night by what it could be bed bugs. I showed it to them and the woman replied: oo that happened in the beach for sure…i told her, no here, she didn’t care. no solution, no help…that made it impossible to sleep at night.During our stay 2 other girls left earlier too.

Beautiful location, quiet area, huts are clean and comfortable, with private bathroom. Well made. Scooter rental at reasonable price.Staff/owners are very friendly and helpful, they serve a really nice breakfast. Had a great stay, would definately come back.

Location, being right on a beautiful beach.

Tide goes out a long way, not ideal for swimming as it’s so shallow for so long but ideal for a good splash around

Fantastic owners: helpful and really kind. Nice beach with few hammock and stunning view. Location was awesome - close enough to food places and other parts of the island

Ignore the negative comments…. We had an air conditioned bungalow….. great view over the water and surrounding islands….. hosts were attentive…. We rented a scooter at a very reasonable price, and if you want to go to hong island, the hostess booked us a great private trip…. Reasonably priced…..

    Nothing!

Located was stunning, breakfast was great and served with a smile.

Great location however the beach wasn’t great just outside the front, however 5 minutes down the road was beautiful, also tide was out in the afternoon.

Really mellow place to relax and unwind for a few days. Rent yourself a scooter when you arrive and then use this place as a base to explore the island. The bed is relatively comfortable for Thailand and the mosquito net new and intact. Aircon keeps the temperature under control and the porch is a nice place to relax in the evening.

While they keep the sand swept of leaves, for some reason they don't pick up the plastic that washes up. Breakfast starts quite late at 8:30

Empty Beach that belongs to the hotel, kayaks for free, wonderful people working in the hotel, motorbikes available for renting, slow and cheerful atmosphere, very clean bungalows

If breakfast was more thai or with more options to eat than pancakes and tosts the general impression would be just perfect ☺️

    7KerriePosted on: 2-5-2025

Cute little bamboo hut, shower was good with lots of hot water, breakfast was good too

Unfortunately the bed was super hard and didn't enduce a good night's sleep

We absolutely loved staying at Koh Yao Beach Front! Our clean and comfortable bamboo bungalow was right in front of the beach which made catching the sunrise very easy. The staff were so lovely and always willing to help. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options including: eggs (cooked to order), sausages, ham, a Thai noodle dish, vegetables, fruit (watermelon, pineapple), pancakes, cereal with milk, toast (with butter, jam, honey), water, juice, tea and coffee. Beach Front also provides kayaks for free which was great! We absolutely recommend staying here, we definitely will next time we visit Koh Yao Yai!

    We loved everything!

The overall atmosphere was okay, breakfast was included, every morning, there were omelet or fried eggs depending on your choice. Owners tried to be kind and nice, and tried to help guests.Good to have a beach view. Quite a good location which is close to the beach, piers and restaurants.

No hairdryer, no fridge, so if you want to drink something cold and fresh on a hot day, you need to buy from the reception which is not cheap, or the closest supermarket is 5mins walking distance. No air-conditioning where we stay, it is a very old bungalow with holes on it which allows animals easily to enter the room, actually, on our third day, a mouse entered the room during the night, our parents' room had a frog's visiting. There is also a big lizard living in the area so please be very careful how you walk to not disturb the animal.Breakfast was good, but the sausage was cold, it would be great if the sausage is in a warm pod, so it is easy to pill off the skin from sausages which hadn't been removed before cooking. If you want to experience the close to nature life, this will be your choice.

Beachfront destination was very picturesque, the little huts we stayed in were very cute. Nice breakfast and friendly hosts.

    Bed a little uncomfortable.

    7SrinivasanPosted on: 1-18-2025

The rooms were decent and clean. However, not all rooms are beach front. We got a room that was 50-60m from the beach. No view. AFAIK, only the AC ones are beach front. You can contact the property before booking to be more clear. The breakfast options for a vegetarian is very limited.
