    • ## A Gem in the Alps: Hotel Kristall-Saphir, Saas-AlmagellNestled at the entrance of the charming village of Saas-Almagell, Hotel Kristall-Saphir is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience. From the moment you step into the welcoming lobby, you're enveloped in a warm, Alpine ambience, a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The rooms, each with its unique character, are impeccably clean and well-appointed. The breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, best enjoyed from the private balconies, are truly awe-inspiring. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night after a day of exploring the Swiss Alps. The hotel's highlight, however, is undoubtedly its exceptional service. The staff is incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Whether it's recommending the best hiking trails, organizing ski lessons, or simply offering a warm smile, they make you feel right at home. The restaurant serves up delicious traditional Swiss cuisine, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The breakfast buffet is extensive and provides a perfect start to your day, while the dinner options are a culinary delight, showcasing the best of Swiss gastronomy. But the true gem of the hotel is its location. Situated at the gateway to Saas-Almagell, it offers easy access to the village's charming shops, restaurants, and the iconic Saas-Fee ski resort. For those seeking adventure, numerous hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and stunning glacier trails are easily accessible.Hotel Kristall-Saphir is the perfect retreat for those looking for a peaceful escape in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Its idyllic location, impeccable service, and cosy ambience make it a truly unforgettable experience.

    Cons -

    • Spa area was not very clean and we paid 5.- for the (very small) jacuzzi that didn’t even work properly (did not fill properly, only about 20cm of water…). The waitress at dinner was barely polite, she almost removed our plates while we were still finishing. Paying 6.- for 1L of TAP WATER is scandalous, especially as we had ordered other drinks. The staff at the reception told me it is because it’s the price of the service and “glasses need to be washed”. This is absolutely ridiculous. Also, in the email we received it said that a parking was available, but it was never clearly mentioned that you also have to pay. It would have been a great stay, but when at the end you receive an extra invoice for 5.- for the parking, 5.- for the jacuzzi, 6.- for tap water… it real feels like you’re getting robbed here and there. Not sure if we’ll come back because of this, the client experience is apparently not a priority.
    • Everything was additional even the bottled water placed on the table. The breakfast was not very special. The rooms were definitely not meeting the expectation for such a price; quite old fashion not very high stadard, the bed was not great neither.
    • We had to pay for the water at meals. Some things ran out at breakfast.

The location was good, the staff partially very friendly, partially not so friendly. The common areas were good and it was very clean.

Everything was additional even the bottled water placed on the table. The breakfast was not very special. The rooms were definitely not meeting the expectation for such a price; quite old fashion not very high stadard, the bed was not great neither.
