    Pros +

    • The breakfast buffet and, in special the dinner concept one day with a regional/international cuisine and then another day with a menu with soap, starter, main dish and final dessert, really well done; very silent location and plentiful of space in the swimming pools when not so windy. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, buffet, bar and cleaning service; outdoors with very beautiful landscape and gardens, typical for the region.
    • Location. Quiet surroundings.
    • The staff are all wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. The suite was great, private terrace was a real pleasure. We loved the location and proximity to the beach yes it is quite hilly.

    Cons -

    • Old style gym and equipments, needs some upgrade with better kettlebells and dumbbells, and some olympic bars and appropriate clipping for the disc weights; Quite small parking, during high-season might be an issue; inline telephone in the room did not have any instructions how to call reception, cleaning or for any emergency issue, really lack on details from management for such level of price, there must always be an table listing main internal telephones and how to call other rooms! Only first bottle, then the mini-bar does not have any still filterer water as courtesy;
    • Hotel rooms were infested with cockroaches.
    • DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION. It is INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES. when I asked for something to be done after seeing a cockroach in my bed on the first night, I was ignored. Upon arrival home we have seen cockroaches in our home where there were previously nothing. I contacted the hotel to inform them and they have completely dismissed this complaint. Regardless of the staff and location, I will NEVER stay here or with this company and I suggest you don't.P.S. I'm Black so it might just be racism that they put me in an infested room. BOOK at your OWN RISK.

Good location. Suite provided good space with a front patio and private enclosed courtyard. The ability to opt in or out of the daily housekeeping service was good.

    1. The room was big. Extremely comfortable mattresses!2. The bathroom - large. The facilities in the bathroom are also up to par. There are toiletries and a hairdryer. There is also a Jacuzzi overlooking the garden.3. It cannot be denied that it is extremely quiet and peaceful. For which congratulations!4. The staff is friendly and willing to help.

    1. The location - to get to the nearest beach, you have to walk about 400 meters. Which isn't much, as long as you don't walk down a dirt and dusty road and then crawl up. So the hotel is not on the first line at all, at least because there is another hotel below it.2. The breakfast - it was written that there is a good breakfast. It's actually tolerable. As for a 4 star hotel it is far below the level of the stars. Not to mention that on the second day I saw a cockroach walking on the bread.... Then the fork they brought to me was dirty. Then the piece of brie cheese had a fly on the bottom. The waiter kindly took the piece away and returned from the kitchen with a startling answer: it was in fact a piece of dried fig.... It is another matter that figs have no stem, and there were no sliced figs for breakfast at all, to suppose that this was true.3. Cleaning - at first it was very clean, obviously Jessica was trying. On the second day, however, he came to clean at 09.30 in the morning. I told her we were going out in 10 minutes and she was welcome. She came again at 2pm, but when you've gone on holiday, 2pm is hardly the best time to clean.... She worked until 3pm and couldn't at any other time. I think that for a 4-star hotel and high prices, it is right that the cleaning lady should consider you, not the other way around. And so the trash can wasn't emptied for two days, nor were the towels changed...4. I don't understand why the hotel is advertised as a Spa and Wellness hotel..... And that they have massages. In fact, they work with an external company, a massage therapist comes to the hotel three times a week for three hours, on Saturdays and Sundays, of course, there are no massages. I.e. if you want to get a massage today, the probability is very small. Or you have to go to another hotel. Otherwise, the masseuses are good.

Great welcome on arrival, very creative designs for each room, nice complimentary products. cosy home, open space. Good shower, hot tub, a peaceful & private environment with lovely palm trees succulent plants. Brilliant spa services too.

Lovely room with private courtyard. Beautiful gardens - well planted. Lovely sandy beach a short 5 minute walk away.

Terrible dinner - do not recommend half board. Food was not good & we were hurried throughout - not a great experience. It’s a shame they haven’t put a bar in by reception as lovely views from there.

great breakfast in a beautiful setting

The town of Costa Calma it had no center and was too commercialised for us.

The hotel is a perfect place for rest and relaxation. The food is good, especially the breakfast. The room was large and comfortable, the beds excellent. The private outside area each room enjoys is brilliant. The biggest plus, however, is the staff. Friendly, helpful and professional. Be it the reception staff, the restaurant waiters, cleaning staff or maintenance, everyone had a smile and willingness to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Nothing, really. Some wear and tear that wasn't even worth calling maintenance for. Having a fridge with a small freezer - just for icecubes or so - would be nice, though.

Lovely restful break. Must do is to hire a car and drive up and over the mountains. Crazy drive, we

Not a lot of shops or restaurants to choose from and quite a distance away from any amenities. This could be classed as a negative but I could also say quite a positive as this was a very restful break for the aforementioned reason

Fantastic quirky design. Gardens well kept. Very large place. Various pools including heated indoor. Spa good, breakfast amazing choice. Best room / apartment we had in years. Top quality beds with seperate second bedroom with own facilities that the kids loved. Their own hideway connected to the main rooms through our very private garden.

You definitively need a car on the island. Sure there are things in walking distance like the beaches but for anything else a car is recommended especially when its hot.

If you like quiet then this is definitely quiet. Not even a bar open during the day or in the eveningFood was acceptable standard, but you are sort of stuck on the resort as nowhere really nearby to walk to. Not much about at all.Restaurant staff were very good. Room was nice and big but needs TLC.

No bar open on the resort. Ants in our room, reported to reception and nobody came for 2 days. Then sprayed in wardrobe to kill ants and didn’t even hoover or sweep them up!We paid £1700 plus for 1 week just for the accommodation with half board. Once you had eaten in the evening, everything just shut. Also they charge for absolutely everything. No free coffee or water in room in fact they charge 6 euros for the coffee. You don’t even get a complementary drink with your meal, not even a water !!!

Spacious apartment with private space outside, comfortable location + very helpful and friendly staff.

Smell of rotting sewage! This hotel is next to wastewater processing plant which works by watering with rotting sewage plants growing next to this hotel. Moreover, you can smell hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs) especially in the morning when using any bathroom appliances. Apparently, water down the drain displaces gases which comes back to the apartments. Hotel is old and not upgraded for years - rooms appliances are working but they are just outdated. Blankets offered were stinky (muddy, old storage kinda smell). Gym is in agonizing condition.Food selection for breakfast is very limited. Th only good thing are freshly made eggs and pancakes (if you fancy one every day). Lots of canned foods and mediocre choice of bread products. If you select half board, you will get tiny portions a la carte + three days a week there is buffet. Food choice for supper is mediocre, accompanied by “salad buffet” - mostly canned foods. All in all - this is not a bad hotel, read others comments, be mindful of these we have pointed out. At the time we have make the booking, this hotel for almost half price of neighboring H10 hotel chain (small rooms, lots of noise etc.). Do your “math” depending on your profile and do not accept rooms staring with 2xx or 3xx - they are close to the wastewater treatment plant (see google maps).

Staff were fantastic and so helpful. Breakfast was great and lots to choose from. The suites were a great size and very comfy. Wifi was strong.

Evening food was good most evenings but one night it was not good and I ended up eating bread and cheese.

The perfect location for a small family getaway. Most of the clientele at the hotel are older couples. If you're looking for partying and nightlife, this isn't the place to go. If you want a relaxing vacation with great food and amazing views, look no further than Risco del Gato and Costa Calma! Restaurant Terraza del Gato adjacent to the hotel is 10/10.

Could have had more pescatarian, vegetarian + vegan options at breakfast. Some staff outside of reception and kitchen don't speak any English but thankfully I know some Spanish. Outdoor pool is very cold but the indoor heated pool is perfect.

The suites were exceptionally cozy and very intimate! I loved that whatever we were doing it always felt like we were home. Coming back to the hotel after a long day was always a pleasure. The food was pretty tasty too. A huge variety both for breakfast and dinner. The buffet nights were super fun and the menu nights served outstanding meals. Compliments to the chefs and the staff. The staff was superb and very friendly, always at your service for anything.

I would consider setting out a few more insect traps, we had a few uninvited "guests" in our suite a couple of times. Nothing too bothersome tho

The sea view was as shown in the pictures.Breakfast was good.

The room was dated and you have to pay for the bottle of water that is left in the room. We arrived late with no water so had to pay for it.
