Pros +
- The location
- The chef Alessandro, best food ever!
- Beach location was amazing, hotel is a somewhat outside of town and has a solitude location, amazing walks along the very wide, sandy, clean beach. We only stayed for two nights - we would have not wanted to stay for much longer.
Cons -
- Very dirty and unpleasant smell. The door to the balcony was so old that it didnt close.
- The location, nothing around and the sea too faraway from the hotel and not accessible for normal swimmers but just for kite surfers!
- Reception experience was weird, the guy mumbled to himself and we had to constantly ask him to repeat himself, gave off bad vibes. Obviously this is just one individual and others are probably way more friendly but it was an unpleasant introduction to our experience at this hotel. The buffet style food was luke-warm on cold plates (provide warm plates at least for Goodness' sake). We booked a room with an ocean view but the room we got had a horrible view of a dirty roof lip beyond which you could see a sliver of the the ocean. Luckily we were able to change to a room on a higher higher floor with a much more decent view. Rooms themselves were practical and clean but tired from the halogen lamps era. Judging by the safe's control panel (red LED display from the 90's) these rooms have been in use for decades - but that is just a guess.

This hotel was outstanding. Our room was fabulous with a breathtaking view of the lagoon/beach. The pools and facilities were great. Food was truly outstanding and the bar service great. Staff were always very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurants. Location on the beach was great, it was like being in an oasis of paradise!
Coffee machines at breakfast always seemed to cause chaos and queues.A menu of cocktails at the bar (on the bar rather than having to look at my phone) would have been alot better.
The hotel needs to be refreshed and brought up to the now common standards of interiors/exteriors, although I do not deny that it has set well great, food good although too much sweet, far too few vegetables - if there were vegetables it wasn't very tasty, good soups, room always clean, staff discreet, pools clean, we parked our car on the street "where there was car place".This hotel has huge potential for people who want to have an active vacation but requires a different approach to food .
No possibility to order meals at other times than the designated ones outside the all-inclusive. If you don't have an all-inclusive stay purchased then you don't eat ;-)
The hotel was great, right next to a beautiful beach. Breakfast and dinner buffets were really good with lots of choice and always fresh. You could do lots of activities through the hotel, such as wind surf, kite surf, excursions, etc! We would definitely come back to Melia when we visit Fuerteventura again.
Everything was great.
Excellent location, fantastic beach, great swimming pools, great food for breakfast and dinner
Too few elevators
-Location was very good, amazing scenery and perfect for windsurfing -we booked a windsurfing lesson, it was great there, but we arranged everything on trip advisor and not through the hotel as there was no information on activities outside the hotel.-overall it was okay to spend time with family or friends for a few days-Good if you like all inclusive, but not for us
-Lack of facilities in the room eg no tea and coffee, no iron, no drinking water.-we asked information regarding the island but we didn't get much information. - many guest left the towel very early by the pool and left the area so there were empty beds but no space for people who really wanted to enjoy the swimming pool.-I celebrated my birthday and they didn't make our stay very special.
Wonderful staff. Clean and many activities. Great location. Short walk to beach and lagoon. Perfect.Only down side is paying for fully inclusive and other guests able to access privileges during the day without cost.
A little hap hazard meal times despite the extreme hard working staff. Also not sure how you police people not on fully inclusive basis using lunch time snack or bar. Also anyone able to walk off the beach and use the pools. Be nice to have walk in showers too.
Beautiful location, right near the beach one minute walk away. Beautiful reception area, you can see the sea in the lobby area. Free, yoga and Pilates classes which were really good. Free tennis available, which was super fun. Food was average, lots of good choice and in the morning. Lots of really nice fruit but overall wasn’t super tasty or super hot.
As the other reviews say the rooms need upgrading, very thin walls and just a bit old-fashioned and not very modern. Air-conditioning doesn’t really work that well, but didn’t matter for us because we stayed in January.
Location, views, food, staff.
Cockroach in the room.
Lots of pools & sunbeds. Right next to the beach
Many rooms have no sun and our first room (612) was cold, with no heating. They moved us to a room with sun (418) which was nice & warm. The hotel is very isolated, with no shops or restaurants nearby.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the building was light and clean and impressive, the location is absolutely perfect for being away from the touristy towns and wanting a more peaceful connection to the stunning landscape all around - but is more than equipped to meet every need on site (including shops for food, drink, clothing and toiletries). There are lovely well-looked-after cats on the grounds, which are beautifully sculpted with native plants and views over the beach. Finally, the amenities are amazing and the food is very high quality and more than plentiful!
Really having to be picky to find things to fault... There's no kettle in the room - but then there was hot water available round the clock at the various hotel bars. And because the sound travels very easily between rooms, the experience somewhat depends on how noisy your neighbours are!
we liked the view of the beach, The staff were nice.
the padel tennis court was out of action the beside lights were very annoying
Have stayed previously and it did not disappoint.Great hotel in an amazing location.A perfect Oasis in the desert. Great pools. Amazing beach. Friendly staff. Food options are good enough for a few days. Always fresh grilled meat, rice, chips, chicken nuggets, pizza and pasta being cooked so even the fussiest eater can eat something. There are obviously many more options, but for fussy eaters and kids it kind of covers all bases.Rooms are large and spacious. Great views of the sea and complex.
No issues!
the pool was great, and the walk to the beach is amazing. the grounds are very nice and kept well. The guy cleaning the rooms on the third floor was really good. The staff that we met at reception on the 16th, a lady and guy with glasses. Super helpful.
the room was ok, alot of ants. it would be nice to have something that will stop the beds from moving apart when joint. Its like sleeping on two singles that have been joint together. Myself and my son got really bad food posioning plus another guest that i spoke to. communitcation is really bad regarding an email i sent months ago. When i brought this up the guy on the saturday front desk was abit rude.
The room were clean and spacious, you can fell the hotel was built couple years back, but still everything is functioning top notch without any issues. There are many pools(salty and sweet water, shallow ones for kids and normal depth) and big lounging area with free sunbeds. I haven't been to the gym/spa areas. There's direct access to beach from the hotel along with shower, feet cleaning, and water equipment cleaning spot. The beach is wide, the water was calm during our stay(3 days mid December). Entrance to water is smooth - suitable for going in with children as there are no sudden drops, there are not rocks/stones etc.I believe the place is perfect for starting your adventure with kitesurfing - on the beach a mid sized lagoon forms where wind is enough for the kite and water is shallow and without waves.
- I wish there would be more of seafood for dinner.- The last step to the beach is bit too high, might be difficult for some people to step down.
Private Terrace jacuzzi, huge room, awesome restaurant, big pools, amazing climate, huge beach, close to the ocean, stunning views, many plants oasis-like style, live music at evenings, tennis and pingpong
Not much to do in the evening beside live music
Great location. Great value for money. Kind staff.
A little outdated but clean and a lot of facilities.
Perfect location directly on the beach
