MC Hotel

Close to highway. OK for one night sleep over. Near by big supermarket and bakery.

Outdated hotel, needs renovation but kept clean

Simple but good, depending on the number of guest you might be served in the bar area. ( If there are few guest in the hotel that is)

Cleaning of room sometimes was not meet my expectation but nothing major.

Nice stay for one night in central Zalec, walking distance to Bier fontein.

A good hotel, close to the centre (well, Žalec is small enough...) with regular facilities. Staff is super excellent and helpful.

Everything was OK, it could be a bit cheaper, it is an old hotel but, it met the expectation just to rest...

We liked the location a lot, it was a quick walk to the beer fountain (the town's main attraction) and near a grocery store which we appreciated. It's also a 15 minute drive to nearby charming medieval town Celije. We stopped here during a road trip enroute back to Ljubljana. This is not a glamorous place to stay, but it's good price for value.

We wish the air vents in the bathroom were a little cleaner. Breakfast was a little confusing to find the next morning and we were the only ones there, but the hotel tried their best.

Close to town centre. Good value for what you pay.

Not lot food choices in town

It was clean. We took it as alternative to accomodation in Ljubljana which was otherwise incredibly expensive. The room design looked like 25 years old. There was aircon - which was great in s vety hot day

Breakfast - they charged us 10eur for something that cannot be called breakdast. One cheap looking salami, badly looking ham and cheese. There was only possibility to make a tea. They did not provide coffee! When I asked the waiter - I heard that the cook had a day off and that I can buy a coffee in a nearby café. There is a nice bakery shop in the main street some 5min walk from the hotel so if you want to start your day nicely, forget the hotel and go there (it will be nicer and cheaper)

It was in the middle of the village

It was old and we only saw one employee who wasn't from reception. And there was no one with check out

It was the only accommodation that we could find near Sempeter! (We had hoped to visit the Necropolis but it was closed.) It is owned by the municipality and the ground floor is used as a youth centre so we were happy to support it. It was built in the 1970s and might be considered dated but we thought the decor was quite quirky and interesting. Not a bland chain hotel. Reminded us of Cuba. Terrific view north from the fire escape. We were able to put our bikes in the foyer overnight.

Our west facing room looked out over a metal chimney and blocks of flats. No balcony to hang our washing out.

Location, nice stuff

Cold temperature in room, in the morning was no warm water in the shower!

Great location in the centre of Zalec, shops and supermarket really close by. Bus station a few 100 meters from the door. Had the basics I needed for the stay. Wifi was great which enabled me to work in the room if required.

The hotel is recently taken over so going through changes. The reception is not staffed 24 hrs so its a bit more complicated when arriving late at night. No food provision but plenty of options locally. Bar was friendly and pleasant, especially on the summer evenings. Perhaps water in the room on arrival would be useful as the bar is closed, and if arriving late you may not have access to any. Maybe loose the orange decor theme

Everything starting with the spacious parking lot. Nice welcoming at the reception.Very nice room with everything I could need for a personal or business travel.Places to hang out or to eat just steps away.Close to the Beer Fountain :-)

The hotel was a little old fashioned but it is was clean and comfortable which made it good value for money. Friendly staff at check in and great ham and eggs for breakfast
