Love everything here, very clean room, comfortable bad, big bathroom, parking front door. Staff was polite and nice

The unit and everything in it was brand new. The bed was very comfortable. Nice quality bedding and towels. Excellent water pressure for an invigorating shower. Warren was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The smell of newness, probably from the carpets. We kept a window open. An outside mat to wipe shoes before entering would be a good idea,.

The units have all been newly renovated and done and done well. We enjoyed the large one bedroom unit with kitchenette. We spread out! Love the luggage area! Did laundry and appreciated the drying racks available. The host was very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants too. Love the food trucks right across the street too.

The motel itself was excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable, comparable to a five star hotel. The rooms were spotless, modern, and beautifully Scandinavian in design. They were very spacious, and all fittings such as TV, Nespresso machine, induction cooker etc and furnishings were high quality and new. Overall, the accommodation was outstanding!

We stayed as a large family group and booked multiple rooms based on the bed configuration. Due to occupancy and fire safety regulations, the motel could not accommodate our full group. This was only communicated at the last minute, making it difficult to find alternative accommodation on short notice. Earlier clarification would have helped.Staff interactions felt cold and unwelcoming, especially during the discussion about the accommodation issue, which added to the stress.

The apartment was very clean and modern with ample space for luggage. The facilities appeared to be newly renovated. There was nothing bad about the apartment at all and we were really happy with the rooms. The apartment also felt secure. All the beds were comfortable.

The cost of washing (NZD5) and drying (NZD5) was a bit steep but the facilities were well maintained and the dryer was large and very effective at drying a large load of clothes. Just a heads up that you can only use the washer and drying before 6pm to avoid impacting other patrons.

Amazing modern room, kitchen and bathroom!

Price was high due to high season.

The room was big and comfortable. Kitchenette had all amenities for a quick meal if needed. Room looked brand new with a huge Tv. A balcony and garden outside. It was great we could wash and dry our clothes. 3 minute drive to the town matket place.

The parking lot is small and space is tight for getting past other cars. Just be aware if you have a large vehicle.

The owner welcomed us and checked us in. We found a lovely room, full kitchen and a beautiful bathroom.

The room we stayed was huge, it had a little kitchen with everything you need, a huge leaving room with sofas and chairs and a big TV, and the bedroom with a great size too. Each room has its own heat pump, which is great for colder days. The staff was amazing, the person I talked to was super nice and gave a lot of tips of what to do in town, where to eat, and what was the best time to go to Mt Cook.

The only thing we didn't like is that the shower is on a bathtub. If you are traveling with kids or elders (like I was), this can be a little dangerous.

Easy to find. Had a selection of takeaway food stalls opposite the property every evening, easy choice for tea. Comfortable bed, large room with outside seats.

Could hear the road and this woke me up. Needs more sound insulation around the door as could see gaps and this let sound in.

The Lakes Motel had the best room, furniture, bathroom and kitchen of the 11 motels we have stayed at in New Zealand over the last 4 weeks. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Location was ideal on our South Island trip. Easy check in and very comfortable. Close by to local restaurants and bar, within walking distance.

Clean, spacious, cooking facilities and equipment provided. Close to town. Bed comfortable. Nice to have a patio area at the back.

Looked a little dated from outside but was fine inside. Outside patio area not separate from other units do not very private. Bath area alittle dated looking with shower over bath, but shower pressure good.

Newly renovated rooms are a treat. Very well equipped room with kitchenette. Large shower and spacious bathroom. Coffee machine and plunger in room. They have a laundry that guests can use. They even have clean rags outside the laundry to clean shoes or bike. Close to everything.
