    Pros +

    • The location of the hotel is good.Clean.
    • We were celebrating our 70th birthdays this year in Gallipoli and needed a hotel with ac, an elevator and parking. Hotel Fly had all of this and more. The hotel is in a great location on the main street of Gallipoli, walkable to places to eat and a short walk to the old city. Very convenient to a beach a short drive away, Mar Y Sol, just north of Gallipoli. For 15 euros get an umbrella and two lounge chairs, tho we did go late in the afternoon. Maybe more if go earlier. The hotel staff were great and always willing to help with suggestions and meeting our needs. There is a breakfast on the beautiful terrace for a small fee. It will be our go to for future visits and highly recommend to one and all.
    • Perfect location, nice and helpul staff. They took our car to park. Very comfortable service. Room was simple but nice and comfortable.

    Cons -

    • The room has only one electric socket to be able to charge stuff, like battery packs, mobiles etc. underneath and behind a table. The hair dryer works but it's weak. Breakfast lady would hardly move or talk to us, for coffee or espresso or ro have Capuchino. We had to ask for everything. American coffee was full of bubbles with its pump and was bad.Our toilet flushing would do a very strange sound when it fills up. Wasn't nice during the night when we flushed.
    • The parking is valet so sometimes just needed to schedule when we could leave and pick up the car, but was wonderful to have this service. The bed was a bit hard for me but I have some mobility issues, but was able to sleep well with very comfortable ac.
    • The breakfast was a little simple, but the lady was really nice and helpul.

Very close to the old town. Friendly staff. When there was a mistake in the room, we were immediately assigned another one.

The breakfast was very good, it offered the traditional Italian sweet options, plus fruit and yogurts. They also had some local foods on offer. Very close to the Centro Storico.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's in a good location for exploring the historic centre. The beds were comfortable and it was handy to have USB ports by the beds. It was good to have the room cleaned everyday and towels changed.

The toilet was very difficult to flush and when it did it was very noisy. It wasn't clear by the description in Booking.com what kind of room you were getting. It said sea view on mine but it didn't have one. At any rate from any part of the hotel it would only be possible to see a bit of sea in the distance. As it was still not fully opened for the season the terrace was closed.

I didn't actually stay at the Fly but at the 33 Baroni. I got a call on the morning of my stay telling me that the Fly was closed and I was being transferred to another hotel in the group. All staff were excellent including the receptionist who called me explaining the change. Breakfast buffet was very good and coffee was prepared to my wishes by two very friendly and cheerful waitresses.Slept very well in comfortable bed. There was even a little gift as I left. All round good experience!

The shower head in my room needed replacing

The Staff was simply incredible, especially Giulia. Helpful and went out of her way!

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed by the room we received as it did not look like the one we booked on Booking.com and it was much smaller as expexted from the pictures.

    10StefanoPosted on: 9-7-2022

Giulia was very helpful assisted with many info on places around and also provides info on best places to eat/drink. Although not needed, English was spoken fluently by the staff. Room was perfect size, very clean and comfy. Location wise, couldn’t find better place as convenlty located 5 minus from train Station and 7 from nearest beach. Shops and restaurants all around.
