    • Breakfast was done well. Staff was quite pleasant. Close to lots of local experiences.
    • Room was in excellent condition for cleanliness. Room we had is supposed to be ocean view but that's honestly stretching it a bit. It's more like you had a room for the infinity view rather than ocean view. I had an ocean view room in Maldives and our Hilton room couldn't provide 1/100th view of what the Maldives room provided. We had a view towards the infinity pool and the garden at best. We also had the half board option where you had to pay 185 rupees (~4 USD) for about 1 liter of water (still or seltzer) for the dinner portion of the half board. The access to the facilities was great. Free access to kayak, surf, standing kayak, and a few other non-motorized sailing equipment was great. We liked the fact that it was more mellow and quiet. I was really impressed with how as small as the room were, there were so many drawers and spaces for storage of items/clothing. For a Hilton Honors hotel though, this was truly a dissapointment as I tried to compare this to the Millenium Hilton in Bangkok(lower tier Hilton) and I paid less to stay there for a room than here. There was nothing grand about the room; terrace didn't have a cover while other rooms. I have now traveled quite a lot and I am disappointed. For the price I paid, I wish I went back to Maldives. At least, there I know I can enjoy it a lot more than I did here if I had to put up with bad food and bad treatment from staff
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hilton Mauritius. The resort offers a truly relaxing and beautiful setting with a superb ambiance that makes every moment enjoyable. All the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. A very special thanks to Amal for her outstanding service and hospitality. She went above and beyond with thoughtful gestures, including a surprise cake for my mom-to-be wife, which made the trip unforgettable.Thank you to the entire Hilton Mauritius team for creating such a memorable experience. We can’t wait to return!

    Cons -

    • Food option choices for lunch and dinner are limited and repetitive; definitely needs improvement. In-room dining menu small as well.
    • I doubt many here stayed at Millenium Hilton in Bangkok (comparison). The quality of food there compared to what this one offered is day and night different. There were samosas that I waited 15 minutes that never came out. The lamb chops were great but they ran out of them. Food in general is sub par - and that's saying a lot since a lot of the reviews here for this resort had positive feedback on food compared to other hotels/spas in Mauritius. Go to Bangkok and you will understand how crapy this place's food is- esp by Hilton's standard. I can't accept a fridge in my room can't go to at least 45F, unacceptable. Medicne I had might be ruined. The last thing that I will mention- the Guest service girl is racist at worst, ignorant and had a bad day at best (giving her the benefit of doubt). I specifically was told to let Guest services know when my photographer that I had hired was to arrive at the hotel so I went and tried to notify her. Rather than taking it upon herself to communicate this with the reception and the rest of the staff, she told me to do her job and go notify them myself. So I didThen, the receptionist was confused and came back to talk to her to which she promptly called the supervisor to get clearance if it were to be an issue. Thankfully, the supervisor was not against it and allowed the photographer to be on the premise. This could have been handled straight away if she actually respected me as a guest and talked to me in the first place to explain the rules. The part about the racism (and this is well known by a lot of Africans that visit Mauritius I guess)- the next day at breakfast, she was going around tables trying to upsell something (which I was not exactly sure of what it was wait for it - ) but she ignored our table and went around to all the other tables (honestly I am glad she did). But you know what- I don't really care because it's my own dollar they will miss for my next visit.
    • I requested for late check out but they did not allow it.I don't understand why something that is done all over the world wasn't done here.

Property is well maintained, location is good and quiet

    1. Both rooms had ants and we had to follow-up multiple times with housekeeping for pest control2. House keeping was not done on time again required follow-up3. Breakfast buffet was repetitive and quality of Indian food was terrible 4. Overpriced for the experience; 5. Parking is perenially full, had to park on the exit lane nearly half the days.

Chilled and relaxed atmosphere, room was conveniently located close to beach and main restaurant, staff were very helpful and polite.

This feedback is in the context of this resort being a 5* hotel. Also, we only stayed two nights but sadly, we were very disappointed and felt the level of attention to detail was poor for a 5* hotel. Firstly, they didn't clean my room, literally, we went back in the afternoon to find the room as I had left it in the morning, no beds made, nothing. When I called them to enquire, as we urgently needed toilet paper, service was very slow and had to call them again and wait over 40 minutes for someone to turn up, unacceptable. We were given a beach towel that wad worn off and had holes and tears in it, again, is this what to expect from a 5* hotel? The Pomme D'Amour restaurant for half board option offers an excellent breakfast but dinner was a big disappointment on both nights. The Easter menu had roast turkey, which is not a traditional Easter dish, but a Christmas dish, so not sure why they chose to serve that. Overall, the buffet offers little choice, desserts were awful and it appears to be set up in such a way to push guests to order a la carte from the other restaurants. Staff were lovely but we felt we were being rushed, with.l plates being cleared very quickly and constantly checking if we had finished. Water is not included in half board which is at odds with other 5* experiences, at least first bottle should be included. Evening entertainment wasn't amazing and music finished too early in my view. Quality Manager was interested in our feedback but I expected some small token for failing to clean the room to be honest, perhaps a complimentary drink when checking out, but nothing. I think the Hilton is more a 4*star resort than a 5* star and I wasn't impressed.

This is a wonderful hotel. Beautiful property, stunning beach, friendly staff, good food.Anything below is just to make it even better :)

Facing the hotel from the beach, on the left side, right beside the hotel there is a public beach. It is great to see Mauritian people having fun :). But on weekends, and especially on longer public holidays, the area basically turns into a popup camping with large tents, big crowd. The disturbing aspect is the portable power generator they bring with them, going on all day (and night) with the sound of a drilling machine. This electricity then powers big loudspeakers with loud music - that makes sound sleeping pretty difficult....It would be great to somehow solve this issue in a way that allows the public to enjoy the beach in the evening too, but at the same time gives the rooms on the left side of the hotel the ability to sleep properly :))

Breakfast consistent with choice and ambience

You could hear the movement of dragging chairs above and in the rooms each side from early in the morning until late at night. Conversations arounds were clearly audible. Restaurant did not provide any water without payment. Room servicing was inconsistent, with glasses and coffee cups not replaced. Minibar not restocked with bathroom needing a thorough clean.

I booked a room at Hilton Mauritius for my wife and her friend on the same day as the check-in. During the booking process, I clearly indicated the check-in time would be between 1 PM and 2 PM, as this was the available check-in window shown on Booking.com (2 PM to 3 PM).Shortly after booking, the hotel contacted me and stated that their check-in time starts at 3 PM. I replied, understanding their position, but hoping that by 2 PM the room would be ready, especially since the official check-in time listed was earlier than 3 PM. I received no reply to that message. The guests arrived at around 1:40 PM, which is just 20 minutes before the listed check-in time. Not only were they not accommodated early (which would be understandable), but they were kept waiting until 3:30 PM — a full 90 minutes after their arrival and even 30 minutes past the stated check-in time.To make matters worse, the receptionist remarked that the room was not ready because the booking was made too late, and had it been booked earlier, the room could have been prepared in time. That kind of comment is both inappropriate and unprofessional. The guest should never be blamed for the hotel’s internal operations or preparation delays — especially not at a 5-star hotel. This experience was disappointing and far from what one expects from a Hilton resort. Keeping guests waiting this long, not honoring the official check-in time, and then blaming the guest for it — that is simply unacceptable. Definitely not five-star service

Location on the island is excellent. In the rain shadow!Lush green tropical gardens were fantasticLovely pool and beach front - top classgood mix of bars and restaurants on siteLive music every night was great

Most of the staff were great. However, a large number of 'interns' who needed more training let the side down a bit. Long delays to get drinks was inexplicable given the number of staff and proxity. Senior staff were excellent when around and giving direction.

Whole site is beautiful, beach, loungers, pool, rooms are all excellent. Idyllic in terms of facilities.

Lots of room for improvement and can understand why such a stunning site doesn’t have top reviews: * whole experience plagued by continual rules/admin. What 5* hotel doesn’t let you put drinks on the room and pay at the end? Had to pay a £400 guarantee in advance.* couldn’t get into the on-site restaurants. Sorry, all booked or not open. The main restaurant is a buffet in the evenings and overpriced.* whole resort is overpriced for food and drinks. The evening “buffet” is £120 for 2 people with 2x drinks. Can have a la carte in London with a bottle of wine for that * young staff very nice and kind, but the whole experience needs overhauling from a supervisory standpoint. Every order at both bars resulted in confusion/chasing/repeating order 30 mins later. * despite all the “rules/admin”, the one thing that they have zero rules for and desperately need one are the sunbeds. It’s a “Benidorm” run to put towels and bank all day system. They should take note of other hotels like Paradis Beachcomber who remove towels left unattended for 1hr to make it fair for all. Couldn’t even get one on our arrival day while they all sat empty all afternoon with personal items on there.

The Hilton is located in Flic-en-Flac, a vibrant and lively area of Mauritius with plenty of restaurants and a great atmosphere. The resort itself was a peaceful retreat, perfect for those seeking tranquility, especially older guests. The bar staff, particularly Dylan, were exceptional. We had one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever experienced, with a DJ and saxophone duo playing Afrohouse music on the beach, followed by an impressive fire dancing show. The staff also lit tiki torches each night, adding a magical atmosphere that really enhanced the experience. The buffet breakfast offered multiple cuisines and the food was delicious.

Unfortunately, the room service food was a letdown. We ordered a veggie focaccia, but what arrived was a disappointing burger bun with just a small amount of carrot and capsicum inside. Another downside was the resort's location - it’s quite far from the main strip of Flic-en-Flac, so we found ourselves taking taxis most of the time as it was a long walk. The atmosphere at the hotel felt a bit exclusive, whilst we stayed at other 5 star resorts which had a more welcoming vibe.

The islands beaches . There are some very nice people on the island

The food terrible the rudeness of your older staff

Everything was very nice about the property and the rooms

The cocktails were not good , I heard the chef make a rude comment about my wife then turn to his colleague and laugh Also ate some chicken that was undercooked and showed this to the staff nothing was done to help

Adults only pool was great, in general the resort felt very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our welcome was really lovely and we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived despite being early and room not being quite ready. The beach is lovely and we enjoyed exploring up and down the beach on walks. The Indian restaurant was amazing

Our balcony doors were in need of repair so didn’t close properly. The restaurant buffet never had any allergy labels at all, which is really stressful when you have a dietary. Having to speak to staff every time I want to pick my food is really annoying and I think it should be absolute basic that allergens are labelled on buffets as it can be dangerous, it was disappointing this wasn’t done and it made breakfast and dinner so much longer and harder for me

    6MariePosted on: 12-26-2024

When we got there is looked amazing

There was a staff member from the office who had no customer skill she was rude with a negative attitude For this reason we did not spend more than 1 night there It was disgraceful when your going to pay out thousands you expect to be treated with friendly customer services Both managers where amazing understanding and so helpful but this member of staff ruined it she was so rude with her negative attitude and she did not tell the truth about the conversation she had with my cousin too. My girls where upset the way she spoke to me no one wanted to stay at the Hilton

    9TuubaPosted on: 12-22-2024

It was an excellent hotel for families with children. The interior design was so environmental friendly and cool. There is a pool both for kids and adults. The beach was good with golden sand. There are some free activities you can join and you can follow them from the weekly program. Again for kids, there is a wonderful kids club where teachers take care of children. Every night kids club sent an interesting story to our room before sleeep time and I read it to my 4 year old kid. He liked them a lot. There was also a jakuzi and we spent most of our time there when there were clouds above us. The breakfast was moderate, but the dinner was excellent with a wide choice of sea food. At night, we played chess by the beach in a field provided for this. And at the same time, we listened to some very nice live songs. We would like to stay there again.

On our last day, the jakuzi was not that hot as it used to be on the previous days. And they did not fix it even if we told it was cold. The scrambled egg at breakfast was not tasty.
