NH Valladolid Balago

The room, while a little small, was comfortable and well appointed. It's in the newer part of town, so it was a good 30' walk to the old town, but countering that parking (free street parking or paid secured parking underground) was very easy. I like the group (Minor) enought that I've booked a room at the NH hotel in Valencia for the end of our trip.

Clean, in my opinion good location, close to the grocery store so it is easy to buy simple supplies if needed.

Suite was spacious and comfortable

No hot water in the shower/bath. Complained on arrival. No shower in the evening. Or morning. Complained again in the morning. When returning from day out. Not fixed. Only when I complained again on the second evening did it get fixed. No bath for two days.

Overall ok. We had to change rooms 3x because of the cleaning. Very poorly made. We found hairs in the bathroom in the 3 rooms we were. Clearly, they have an issue with housekeeping. Maybe they don't have enough personnel. The reception staff was fantastic in handling the issue. They upgraded us and let it go the parking cost. They really tried to make it up for us. Thank you for that

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and we felt welcome at all times.

The breakfast was good, but not as good as other NH in Spain.

Staff were nice

Not up to the standard of the other NH Collection hotels we have stayed in. Full of a large group of children and adults on a rugby tour and no facilities open as they only open Monday to Thursday.

I liked the ease of check in & departure and the convenience of the lift to the parking area direct.

I don’t like your expensive charges for dogs if I bring them - for two dogs under 10kg it is nearly the same price as for me.

Staff friendly - good breakfast

Given a disabled twin room. Specifically requested a double with king size bed. Not sure why we were given a disabled twin - not disabled. Disabled features in bathroom not ideal for the able bodied

Very comfortable, good sized rooms.Impeccably kept. Easy online check in , and on site underground secure parking. Easy access to motorway.

OK hotel in boring neighborhood of Valladolid

No restaurant. Neighbourhood not interesting

Perfect place for someone travelling alone with their pet. Close to parks and the river for walks and access to shops & cafes nearby. Friendly helpful staff and the room was excellent. Highly recommend.

Access to tea/coffee

Hôtel seemed clean and had suite which was actually not bad. Basic but at least separate sitting room and bedroom. Bath in bathroom too which is nice.

No room service over the weekend and has not restaurant.

Location is good with underground parking. Room was a good size and had all facilities and was very comfortable. Staff were pleasant and ehelpful.

Lack of English TV channels. Room service food was average quality and was not covered when it arrived although it was cooked food.

The room

There was no Restaurant open or bar. Open. Considering the cost per room, for a 4 star hotel that advertised both available it was disappointing. There were no bars or restaurants local to it.

Very nice rooms and good location to walk in to town. Also good location as a stopover when travelling, it's close to the motorway and easy to find.

Although the description says restaurant and bar, it is not made clear that these facilities are NOT available Friday, Saturday, Sunday. This is exceptionally misleading and gives a big problem if you're planning on using them! Fortunately, the town centre is only a 10 minute walk.

Clean and comfortable, lovely staff, easy check in and accessible parking.

Clean rooms

When booking a hotel with a/c, we expect the a/c to be on. Especially when it’s 39degrees Celsius outside! The rooms were HOT as hell when we arrived. Not only the a/c was not on until we came, there was sun shining into the windows. It took the a/c exactly 12 hours to reach temperature below 25 degrees in the room!Also, the staff was most unhelpful in all ways possible.

the pet friendly trap :(1) Ilegal procedure from the Hotel , FAILING full disclosure and transparency on full costs -which does NOT provide to customer any kind of information detailing what is considered extra service and the respective cost either its payment process, namely, regarding a Pet stay which was fundamental to choosing that hotel - was surprised to be told only at the check in that it did NOT included the Pet and there was an extra (such amount never disclosed or informed at the booking process when selected the Pet option) Note this is mandatory according to several laws, namely * Consumer Law’s within EU* including for Pet stays

Really good location and the staff was super friendly

It’s really old fashioned. Needs to be refreshed. Not good value for money to me.
