- helpful staff, nice facility, excellent food

- Beautiful location, wonderful staff, great breakfast.
Cons -
- The room was horribly small, two people couldn’t pass each other, about 8” from the side of the bed to the wall. The bathroom was tiny as well, no place big enough to open a suitcase except on the bed. Would never have stayed if we realized how small the room was, or would have happily upgraded. Avoid the room with the Juliet Balcony, it shouldn’t be allowed to be a hotel room. And the smoke alarm was taped over.

- Pricey bar / restaurant. Strong perfume / floral spray in room.

We love the view and the location and the cocktails on the roof
Excellent location, very helpful and friendly staff, loved the restaurant with great views and food. Large comfortable rooms.

Loved it. It’s a little sanctuary to escape to above the historic town. It was perfect. Great staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful surroundings.
Clean and comfortable. Accommodating staff. Great breakfast. Perfect location. Loved the pool.
Pricey bar / restaurant. Strong perfume / floral spray in room.
Loved the location and buildings and decorated.. staff at roof top was wonderful!! Breakfast was great!!
Loved this property and we had an incredible view of the water from our room and it was in a very central location. They were incredibly helpful with our luggage and helping us with transport to places we wanted to go.
Location and charming.
Front desk was unaware that uber was able to pick up and drop off, and they were trying to sell their 90 euro per trip driver.
The location was wonderful as was the view from our suite. The bed was extremely comfortable. The men who take you to and from your car and help with luggage were outstanding.
Some of the staff were unfriendly, there was no mention of the extraordinary number of stairs to get to our suite and the terrace, there were wires hanging out of bathroom walls, the Turkish bath is just steam in your regular shower that must be turned on in the office ( no spontaneity possible), there was a huge stain on the walls from a leak, the internet kept going out. At $700/ night, I expected more.
The room on the inside was lovely and the bed was amazing.
I really wanted to love this place. However, I had requested a quiet room and they put me in a room that is between the promenade on one side and a bar on the other - PLUS, my room was a basement level room, so it got little to no light. The bar on one side had live music until 12am! No privacy or quiet for such a premium price. Also, the staff did not communicate any of the amenities that were available for me to use (ie., the pool, the rooftop bar, how to use the jacuzzi). Communication and initiative of the staff is poor. Frustrates me, because traveling alone, can be a challenge and I felt like this Hotel put me in one of the worst locations for a hotel room! It did not feel relaxing or peaceful, which is so unfortunate, because I really loved Monopoli, but sadly, not the accommodations here.
Room was smaller than expected but had a beautiful view and all of the usual comforts of a first class hotel.
Great location with fantastic views. Breakfast was great.
The room was very small for such an expensive hotel.
The breakfast choices were excellent. Eggs, cheese, fruit, bread, pastries were delicious. Service was attentive. What else can you ask for?
The Best breakfast in Puglia . We say in a beautiful Window bay overlooking the sea . The pannetoni and facacha was unbelievably tasty .
Nothing …
Alessio’s breakfasts were amazing. We enjoyed interacting with him and his food! The location, our Madia Suite, and all of Monopoli were wonderful. Thank you for managing our luggage to and from the suite!
Some instructions on how to operate the hammam would have helped. :-)
We loved our stay at this hotel. All of the rooms are different and we enjoyed ours which had a front room to it with the bed in an attached room. The whole room was very charming. From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and they continued to be helpful with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. Breakfast was very good too.
First off, the location was great. We loved being on the water but with access to the historic center (everything was walkable). The hotel office staff were very communicative and helped us figure out the free parking situation. They have a golf cart they use to shuttle guests and luggage to and from nearby parking spots located just outside the old town center. The size, cleanliness, and comfort of the bedroom and bathroom scored high for us. The bed (a true king) was very comfortable, and the double sinks in the bathroom were a big bonus. The amenities in the room, like water, slippers, bathrobes, and even scale were also really appreciated. The breakfast was perhaps the most special, with warm/friendly restaurant staff and homemade cakes, savory dishes, and delicious coffee. We were lucky to get the window seat that looked out onto the ocean all the mornings of our visit. I should note that, due to the time of year, their rooftop restaurant was closed and the outdoor pool, while filled, didn't appeal for obvious reasons. However, I can imagine these facilities being a special part of a visit at another time.
Not much, really. There was a slight sewer smell in the room which I think had to do with the seaside plumbing or infrastructure for the larger block and not necessarily the hotel itself. But we went nose blind to it pretty quickly.
I really enjoyed the breakfasts, which were amazing. I loved sitting in a cozy nook with a view of the sea. The gentleman who served us was kind, attentive, and his service was absolutely impeccable.
