Pros +
- The location is absolutely perfect. The rooms are clean and spacious.
- Character and hospitality and location.
- Location was excellent. The building has a lot of character. Staff was helpful. Rooms clean and good value for the price. Breakfast was great (not included). Parking was convenient (not included).
Cons -
- The person at the registration desk was very unfriendly, snippy and not very helpful. We had to carry our own luggage to the rooms, this is unacceptable in a hotel of this caliber as we had elderly people with us (a 70 and 80 year old).
- We liked everything.
- Beds uncomfortable (but better than in some of the other hotels we stayed). A little too basic, but that’s ok given the price.

Everything was wonderful. The staff were great, kind & even remembered that I had a painful neck from the day before! The room was lovely, big comfortable bed. Full sized tub, perfect to soak & heal. It worked! The building is a gem, especially the cloisters at rear. Wow. The location could not be better. I had dinner there & it was excellent too. One of the best experiences of my years of travel. (Btw I didn’t get breakfast, so no comments on that)
It was perfect!
Fantastic building great atmosphere large room enormous bed great breakfast good restaurant.
Shower over the bath
The location was great! Also liked that it was built into a 500 year old building - that was very interesting. The staff was very nice. The lobby area was nicely done. Very good beds, nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good.
We thought the room was a little dated. It could use a little freshening up - the walls are painted a dull beige, makes the room feel a bit dingy. And there is just so much wood used in the decor. - even the ceiling in the bathroom was wood. Made it feel dark and again - dated.
Everything about our stay was amazing. The room was very clean and modern and exceeded our expectations. The staff always helped us as needed. The location cannot be beat in Burgos.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful and efficient. Location is perfect and the building is beautiful.as usual NH hotels do not disappoint. A pleasure!
We had a great stay.
Excellent location with its own parking garage. Friendly staff and very close to old town.
Very old and dated. Great location but shame on the corporation for not bringing the facilities to modern standards. The employees were very nice and helpful. Would not recommend
Old and dated. No value proposition!
Location, clean rooms, beautiful breakfast and nice staff
We were told by front desk that the parking on street in front of hotel was free and we could park there. They didn't know the police were not allowing parking overnight. We went to leave and there was no car. The staff was helpful in locating it and calling a taxi to take us to the car pound. Lesson: Pay for the hotel parking. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay. I would stay again.
Excellent location. shick decor.Very kind staff members.adjacent parking.Excellent breakfast in an elegant dining area.
A beautiful,historic building and large suite-sized room.
The room was in need of a refresh. Torn lamp shades, scratched furniture, somewhat dated and tired decor. It didn't quite live up to my expectations based on the marketing of this property
Location
Rooms are not in a good shape: cracks in the floor, areas that need paint, rooms need maintenance
Clean, friendly, excellent location, good breakfast, parking. The place has uniqe beauty.
Room was too dark, lack of floof mats in shower and in the room.
This room was probably my most favorite hotel room ever. It was large with lovely, peaceful furnishings and a wonderful shower, and there was a solid wood door separating the bedroom from the bath and closet area. This was so perfect for us, because I am a very early riser and my husband likes to sleep longer. I was able to get up, shower, and go through my morning routine without disturbing him with light or noise. There was even a little stool under the sink in the large bathroom if one needs to sit while doing makeup or whatever. It felt like they thought of everything. There was fresh water and jars of candy for a little nibble by the reception area, and a bar and a nice place to lounge. The parking was easy, and the location fantastic. It's a five minute walk from the beautiful cathedral and loads of cafes. Burgos and this hotel were among the best surprises of our trip to Spain. Oh, and don't miss the breakfast--it's spectacular.
I have zero complaints about this hotel. I would return in a heartbeat.
Beautiful hotel in a stunning building, very large comfy room with very comfy bed. A bath made a nice change to just having small shower rooms. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. Safe parking for motorcycle underground. Short walk from the cathedral and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Breakfast was very good and the Staff at the restaurant very nice.
The Staff at the Reception were just OKThe Service at the Bar was BAD. The service was too low and without any interest in providing a good relax time, we had to go to the bar to order our drinks, the waiter never came to the table!! Besides the drinks, we order some food and they have ran out of Bolognese Sauces and GF Pasta!!! How is that possible, it was 8:00pm!! Again, we needed to go to the bar to order the food. Very Poor service, I think the place is understaff!
The building is beautiful, good breakfast, nice location
