Location, right next the cathedral

Safebox broken after I put my passport in it (tried twice & it worked well before I put my stuff in). The mechanics broke the whole box apart to retrieve my passport. No cleaning up afterwards. Then the ceiling leaked.

We had an wonderful stay at Crisol Mesón del Cid! The staff were extremely helpful, letting us check in early and giving excellent recommendations for what to do and eat around Burgos. The room was clean, well air conditioned, and quiet. We happened to have a room with a cathedral view and it was AMAZING. Great value for the cost as well.

Steps away form Cathedral and its impressive views. Room and bathroom a little bit tight, no need of air conditioning thanks to opening windows and weather.

Just a little more room and bath space

The staff was wonderful and kind! The breakfast buffet is worth the extra cost. Rooms were nice and clean.

The mattresses were a bit old, you could feel the springs beneath you.

Even the hotel is old. It is worth because of the Cathedral view . Very nice and well located

Location, staff, room

Location is phenomenal. Older hotel and absolutely charming. Bed was very comfortable. Robb checked us in and he was very kind and helpful.

Excellent location overlooking the cathedral. Comfortable and clean rooms.

The facilities were wonderful, breakfast was good.

It would be nice to have a fan in the room.

Delightful location with beautiful views of the Cathedral. Rooms are large but furniture is awkward.

Suites offered two rooms which was nice, but the “living room” was furnished with two twin beds set up for a family. As a couple it was very awkward to have so much space, yet nowhere to sit and have a drink or enjoy a book.

Locations was excellent! We stayed in the family room facing the cathedral and it was incredible. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend

Front desk staff was fantastic! Good recommendations, super friendly and helpful. Personal service. Went out of their way. Spoke excellent English. The location of this hotel is absolutely tops, right next to the Cathedral!

The food was good but the dining room supervisor was insulting and totally unpleasant. Rather than helping us with breakfast that was included, he actually yelled at us because we discretely took an apple and a sandwich away from the buffet because breakfast didn't open early enough for us to eat before catching an early train. He couldn't relate at all with our situation and is obviously very out of touch with customers and their needs. Not to mention just plain rude.

The best part of this hotel was our view!! We had a full view of the Cathedral from our windows. We were able to see the Cathedral in every light from sunrise, to sunset, to the full black sky at night. It was just breathtakingly beautiful.

Very beautiful hotel right next to the cathedral. Very clean, updated, super location.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and have enjoyed “cathedral view” from the main building. This time we were placed in another building. View of the cathedral still present but not as good and we had to carry luggage between buildings.

Great boutique hotel at amazing locations. The room was comfortable. The stuff was outstanding. The reception guy helped us with resolving the problem with our booking for the wrong date. We were very grateful. Highly recommend this hotel

Beautiful, historic hotel overlooking the plaza and with a view of the Cathedral. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Historic sites and restaurants were within walking distance. Really great breakfast that included a wide selection of breads & pastries, yogurt, scrambled eggs, cold meats & cheeses. Great stay!

Wow! Great location facing the magnificent cathedral. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. A/C available. Very friendly staff.
