    • Great location at the top of the hill in Burgos. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
    • Great location

    Cons -

    • Would have liked a view from our room
    • Room was so hot. Could not get the AC to work. Bugs came in when I opened the window. They crawled all over the curtains, the wall, the bedside table. The front desk attendant gave me a can of bug spray to use.
    • The gym was slightly disappointing.

Clean, modern and right on the Camino!

The location of the property was absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views that showcased the town beautifully. Its central position made it convenient to access everything nearby. From my window, I enjoyed a perfect panorama, with sunrises and sunsets that felt like living in a painting.

Nothing. They had a small but mighty staff and housekeeping staff was incredible

    Clean, helpful, comfortable.

No hot water or coffee available in early morning or in rooms.

The comfort and location werer excellent and the pool was fantastic and opened at a sensible time---ie 7.00am The waitresses in the breakfast room were so helpful and friendly. They went that extra mile and were efficient in their duties!!

The restaurant was a disaster! Of the four meals we ordered on our first night - only three were eaten. The staff seemed to ignore us and were less than friendly. One waitress was particulary surly and did not seem interested in providing a decent service. My wife made an appointment with the hotel manager next day to air our complaint. She took with her the "duck"she had ordered in the restaurant and could not eat. She was informed it was not duck but "cockeral" despite that fact we were informed as we ordered that it was "duck".. As a resolution we only paid for the wine we ordered!!!! We never ate dinner in the restaurant again during our stay. Room Service was non existant. I could get no answer fom the telephone number given. Eventually I called at the Bar to be informed that the "restaurant was full" by the man in charge there!! What this had to do with my use of room service I never found out! I went to reception and eventually got some service(I only wanted a sandwich-at 9pm!!!!) brought to me by the restaurant manager!!!!!! Not a very professional show!!!

    Nice hotel clean nice grounds

They did not provide food service!! Had to walk 3/4 mile to restaurants or coffee shop. Its unthinkable that A 4 star hotel did not provide food services

    Room very nice and comfortable

Five of us went for an evening meal in the restaurant to be greeted by the restaurant manager shouting at the kitchen staff. Food was appalling and other customers around us were leaving their food and walking out . It was a small cafeteria menu for a large hotel it was poor.

Excellent check in, that’s all!! No AC, request a fan, no fan; answer: we are sorry!! 1 euro to get a pool towel!!! In a 4 stars hotel??? which it is not really a 4 stars!! Ordered fish at the restaurant and they came back to tell us that fish smelled rotten, so we decided to leave the restaurant, as well as the hotel. We reserved 2 nights and stayed only 1!Not recommended!

The room was spacious. The location was perfect for the Camino and seeing all of old town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious.

Mostly everything. Polite and caring staff added to the experience.

The bed is a bit too hard so I sleep sideways, woke up with some pain on my back. It could do better with a mattress topper like some high end hotels where this kind of thing doesn't happen.

    9MollyPosted on: 5-4-2025

The location was ideal. Close to everything but still quiet and serene. The breakfast was great except some of the fruit but the variety of food was much appreciated.

The carpets were old and needing replacement. Some of the furniture in the common areas were stained and older as well.

Great breakfast selection, Comfy room, big bathroom, inside parking, lovely pool, great location.

    Nothing to report

Second Camino stay in this beautiful restful hotel. Enjoyed every second of the food, pool, bathtub and bed.

Nice modern hotel very close to the centre of burgos.Gentleman on reception was very helpful, and a young lady in the restaurant was helpful and professional, both a credit to the hotel.

Opening time for the restaurant for an evening meal was a little late, just my preference, I prefer earlier eating time

    8TonyPosted on: 4-24-2025

room location was good for dog owners as you have your own garden

Price for parking = E21.00, price for a dog E30.00 = E51.00 extra which we did not know about

    8DanielPosted on: 4-23-2025

Good location, comfy but impersonal large hotel.

    9MichaelPosted on: 4-22-2025

The Abba Burgos hotel has a light, airy and spacious feel in all areas, including the rooms, and the reception area is just the same and offers a comfortable seating area for those whio arrive "en masse" and may be a little travel weary. The reception staff are very smart and helpful, and this applies to all of the staff, so your initial impression is very good and this followed through the whole time that we were there. The room was spacious, very clean, quiet, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast selection should please everybody as there was so much available, cold or hot, and a good selection of juices and beverages, and the first class staff made sure that nothing ever ran out or was left on display too long. We did not stay in the hotel for lunch as we were out and around during the daylight hours, however, during the evening, from 20:00, there was a very good limited menu in the bar area and we ate there every night. The food and service was good and the prices were reasonable. The location ofb the hotel is in a very peaceful area on the edgev of Burgos but only a ten minute walk from the cathedral which is the town centre and for those who are travelling by car there is an on site safe payable car park. This is our second trip to Burgos and the Abba Burgos hotel and we hope to visit both again in the future.

There was nothing that we did not like.
