Clean, modern and design hotel , perfect location in a beautiful building

Not sure you can beat this hotel. Great service, location and rooms.

Location. Super- helpful front desk staff. Interesting architecture.

Loud drilling sounds in afternoon.

Perfect hotel room for a couple, stylish and in a great location. Close to bars and restaurant and a nice walk along the river to the Guggenheim museum. Loved the welcome we got and the wonderful little touches.

Wonderful experience in Bilbao, also they have a michelin star restaurant, staff was beyond amazing, located close to the old town and shopping district. beds and rooms want you not to leave the hotel. If we visit Bio again, for sure we stay in Takyo again.

From start to finish everything was fantastic, beautiful classy hotel , friendly and efficient staff . The on site Michelin star restaurant was superb and excellent value for money.

Great central location at apex of old city and downtown.

Gym is in basement and a little too warm for working out.

Climate control works, view from room, kind staff, good location, large bed, balcony, smart tv. First smart tv this trip which is absurd.

One elevator broken

Super clean, well-conceived, practical and beautiful. The staff was beyond nice and friendly. Excellent place, excellent stay! Heating worked perfectly. Everything was amazing. They received our cat with a lot of love and understanding. This is a huge plus that makes the whole difference!

Finding where to park was difficult. Restaurant didn’t have a vegetarian option, would have loved to eat there.

The a la carte breakfast was a bit squarish, as you got forced into a limited number of choices; so in practice your selection got a bit narrow.

The hotel is excellent. Staff was very friendly. The bed was big and comfortable. Good gym with enough equipment for a good workout. Good breakfast was included. Walking distance from old town.

The location is not so nice as it is very close to not so nice neighbour in Bilbao. The parking is across the street, but with a dodge entrance.

What did I like? Virtually everything. Location, rooms, attentive and friendly staff, and breakfast. Have been traveling since 1970. 80 countries and many hotels. Every once in a while I come across a special hotel that offers in my opinion a truly memorable hotel experience. Not palatial, glitzy, or otherwise over-the-top - just pleasant as well as economical. They took a rather old building and only did as much renovation as was necessary to make it modernish. The work that was done, however, was first class. Even the elevators were a pleasant surprise. That’s how I view Tayko Bilbao. The weather wasn’t the greatest but we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel aspect of our Bilboa stay.

Nestled in the old town the hotel was perfect for my short stay. The room was cozy yet spacious and clean.
