    Location and the room

Food was very good but not quite as good as it could have been. It felt like it was the chefs night off, and not happy that having paid to have a massage we were expected to pay again to use the spa pool, etc when we were residents of the hotel.

Lovely location and lovely hotel rooms. Would definitely recommend, we stayed in the winter so out of season, would like to stay in the summer too.

    Great view from the balcony.

The room was old, not updated and uncomfortable. The shower door was caked in calcium/hard water buildup. The window has cracked, peeled and flaking paint. The breakfast was very limited with standard options you’d find and lower end hotels.

We loved the bedroom and the way it was serviced. The pool and beach excellent and of course the setting was magnificent.

Felt it was more of a wedding event than a regular hotel. We would have liked to have a bar on occasion for perhaps reading in when it rained.

It was a lovely location and we loved the beach.

some of the steps and railings are deteriorating. could use updating.

We absolutely loved the hotel, the location, the architecture and the interior design. It felt like being in an old Italian movie, it was very charming. The room was a good size, we enjoyed having the balcony and terrace with sea view. There are plenty of toiletries provided as well as slippers. The air conditioning worked very well. The room also has a fridge. Furthermore, the food is fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are very helpful and friendly and always greeted us with a smile. When we asked for extra toilet rolls or an ironing board, we received it within minutes. The hotel itself is beautiful and you can comfortably enjoy the pool and beach which are both very close by. We also parked (for free) on site and never struggled to find a spot, even with several weddings going on! We had a fantastic stay!

I cannot really think of anything negative; the whole experience was honestly fantastic.

Glorious olde worldy style hotel in perfect location. The view and gardens are glorious. The morning sun on Gaeta across the bay a special sight. Even managed a walk on the beach. Would love to return.

    Was perfect

A nice place to relax, friendly service and good restaurant.

Loved the location right by the sea and pool

Shower and bath leaked and the tub itself flexed and moved, the toilet seat was damaged We also had extra charges at the end which we were told were free on arrival. Definitely not four star

Location is amazing, very well integrated in the natural environment. Staff very kind and friendly, room clean and large.

Quite expensive, surprised to discover that access to the beach was not included in the price. Breakfast and lunch did not fully meet our expectations.

The location by the sea is just beautiful. The property is a little out of town, but we enjoy walking and most days walked into town to do things - only 20-30 minute walk.

    Nothing specific.

    The location

Ou room smelled and the floor of our room had a lot of dust so we assume the bed had dust too. It looked like they had not cleaned the room for a while. The gardens were ok but the whole place looked very run down. The rooms could do with a bit of paint and management should really consider have more hotel standard and contemporary furniture in guest rooms., while they could still maintain a level of antique status in the hallways and shared areas. The pool area was a disaster.

This charming grand old hotel is lovely and comfortable. It is easy to imagine days gone by here and families coming back generation after generation. Being off season we had the place to ourselves. The staff was outstanding particularly our waiter in the dining room who was gracious and kind.

A slice of the past, slightly faded reminded me of old Hollywood, with a selection of villas in lush gardens, fabulous beach, great sea bathing, good restaurant.

    Nothing really, should be preserved…….

    10KimberliePosted on: 10-14-2023

Just beautiful!!! Staff friendly and helpful. Great town!

The room with the twin beds was too hot- even with the a/c- the airflow was poor.

Such a beautiful property in a great location with beautifully decorated rooms. Great sea views. Spotlessly clean. The staff here are so friendly. Lovely buffet breakfast with something for everyone. We found out this was once residency to Queen Helena which would have been a beautiful place to live.
