Pros +
- Hospitality and comfort of the guesthouse. Steffen was an excellent host and the food/beer was delicious. Completely enjoyed the stay.
- Lovely room, quiet, clean, spacious. You are very close to Alzenau (3 minutes) and Frankfurt (35 minutes), but it feels luke you’re far away, in the midst of nature (the Kahl river runs right behind the hotel). The staff are super friendly, there is gourmet (really excellent) food in the restaurant, all five-star range. Steffen and Torsten, the two owners, went out of their way to accommodate my special requests, e.g. late breakfasts. And they have a lovely dog called Emma. Had a hugely enjoyable stay and will definitely come back.
- It’s very clean. This is the first time for me to have the packed fresh breakfast for me. Very enjoyable experience.
Cons -
- Small sections of mold in the shower.
- The room size is super. Breakfast is fresh and was packed in a way very thoughtful! The lounge is cosy.
- The bathroom water was cold sometime and there was no obvious way of turning it on - I had to shower with cold water
