Cons -
- Front desk staff rude, confused and unhelpful. I was charged a higher price upon check in, despite having paid in full when booking was made on Booking. Com. The young reception fellow was helpful in resolving this, but his older male colleague was not.We were also given incorrect information about hotel restaurant hours at check in, and had to practically beg to get food at 9:05 PM. Ridiculous! Also, we booked a “comfort double room” but were put in a basic room.
- An outdated room. Broken curtains, bed was horrible. It was cold at night and when asked, no blanket was available. The response was "This is the old building". The front desk personal was not helpful at all, looks like no motivation to serve.
- My only complaint is that I booked a "single" room and my bed was a slim twin bed. Not comfortable.

I love the classic style older rooms, the pool and environment as well as the new ability to use the pool on the day of check out. That was a bonus.
The main draw in this hotel is a fabulous spa area, a heated outdoor pool, an outdoor jacuzzi big enough for 15 people, a gorgeous and large indoor pool, steam rooms and a cold plunge pool, as well as a dry sauna area (with a women's only option). Opening at 0700hrs this makes it ideal to miss any children in the pool areas and to keep your visit to the facilities calm and peaceful. The dressing rooms were plentiful and well laid out. There are plentiful hiking options around the resort, and quiet areas near the pools where one can read in peace in the afternoon. The food was very good. The breakfast was exceptional, with numerous options and plenty of beautiful spaces to view the surrounding grounds. Dinners offered good seasonal and local specialties. All staff we encountered were friendly and very professional. We did not use the cosmetic services in the beauty clinic, but I did have an excellent Thai massage with a brilliant masseuse associated with the resort (ask about this before arriving).
My only complaint is that I booked a "single" room and my bed was a slim twin bed. Not comfortable.
Views Variety of saunas and pools Walks just next to the hotel Breakfast was great Staff overall super nice
The reception staff was funny about the spa towels one day suggesting we should go back to our room and wait for a spa towel. You are a spa - don’t be moody about towels One more coffee machine at breakfast would be good
Wellness and breakfasts were amazing!
Parking was a bit inconvenient.
Therme,Betten,Sauna,Tee,..
Modern, clean and super thermal bath facilities
I know it suits the clientele, but restaurant menu could be a little bit more “exciting”
Nice roomExcellent breakfast Great facilities
The pillows are terrible…. Shame there is no aircon or fan as it was terribly hot in the room
Nice room, very comfortable bed. Lovely hotel surroundings, with great spa facilities. Plentiful breakfast. Good food.
Towels not always easy to change for fresh ones in spa area.
Clean and quite place, relaxed environment with all its surroundings.
Didn’t find any during this stay.
Gardens
being coerced into having the 4 coarse meal when we only wanted 2
I liked the swimming pools, the saunas, the restaurant.
When we checked in,we went to the spa then to the restaurant then back to the spa. At the end of the night we went to the room and we noticed that there are dirty marks on one of the two bed sheets. I went to the reception to tell about the problem and then i waited like 30 minutes for new one (no compensation offered). Then when we checked out the receptionist asked if everything was okey. I then explained what happened to us and i showed her the video i did of the marks and all she said was ooh im sorry. The last time when we were there we got a voucher for 5% and this time we were given none although i could see the vouchers on the desk.
I don't know why this hotel has only 4 stars. From all sides, it looks like a 5-star hotel. The service is excellent, and the food is fantastic. The rooms are designed with a decent taste. The Therme access is included.
The rooms are a little bit tired and require minor fixing.
Friendly receptionist. Food of a good standard.
Grass strumming early in the morning. Restaurant male staff scruffy appearance (unkept tie, shirt etc.)
The pool area is beautiful, the Panorama view when is raining is a MUST. Pool inside and outside, whirpool, two hot pools and two cold pools, varity of sauna’s, directly connection to a hiking route, nice ducks.Very important: if you book a day, for example Saturday until Sunday, you have free acces to facilities both days, Saturday until 22:00, Sunday until 18:00.
The lady from reception was not i a good mood, we just asked if we can bring our own stuff and she was very irritated because she already mentioned that in her first speach. The parking places are not enough! The toilet is a bit high.
Nice Spa and very clean rooms without carpet. Rich breakfast with view to the garden and a pond. Location is great with many hiking routes around. Calw town is around 10minutes away with the car.
Staff at reception could be more friendly. Same at the breakfast. Sad, because its really the only point we didn't like but made such a bad impression.
Facilities were great! Not overly crowded. Food was great! Room was excellent and comfortable and clean.
It was a bit on the expensive side so won’t use for regular travel except a rare special occasion.
I liked the pools, territory, personal and food!
Nothing to complain about.
