Comfort Hotel Lens - Noyelles Godault

The price point is fair, and as a budget rest stop midway through a long journey, the hotel serves its purpose adequately. It is good for those traveling between France and Belgium, or those exploring the frontier regions.

Upon arrival, there was a visible police presence on the premises related to the removal of another guest — not exactly the welcome one hopes for. The room lacked meaningful air conditioning and offered poor noise insulation, both of which affected the quality of rest. The blackout blinds were present but not immediately obvious. Wi-Fi was weak and inconsistent, and the absence of a towel warmer in the bathroom was a noticeable comfort gap.

Good place to stop when traveling from France to Netherlands. It is very cheap and clean very close to Lille and they have baby cribs available

A bit old

Good location when you are traveling, nice that there is access to supermarket and other facilities in the close neighborhood. Friendly staff.

The room was old, a bit dirty and strongly smelled of cigarettes (which is sad because that initially is caused by some kind of idiot guest ) which made it feel dirty and unpleasant to sleep in. Although the description claimed the room was “soundproof,” it was extremely noisy, you could hear every person talking or arriving at the square in front of the apartment.

This motel offers a place to sleep. It offers a basic breakfast and is not expensive.

Towels and blankets were not clean.

access easily missed from the road. Breakfast more than adequate. didn;t try evening dinner. Staff helpful and responsive. A good overnight stay for work, room fine, slept well, good start for the next day's work.

Limited breakfast (no vegetables, no eggs, only one kind of bread). Smaller rooms - but we did not expect huge rooms for that price!

Grills outside bedroom window, dark stairways up to room. Mould on ceiling and could hear noise from room next door.

We were there 10mins and...

Accommodation was tired and had mildew on the ceiling. We could not stay there. Potential health hazard.

I didn't really like the property. They assigned us rooms on ground floor which was smelling damp. The room was old.the bathroom needs renovation and they don't have hair dryer. We asked it from staff and they provided for us. The walls are so thin. you can hear everything form the other rooms, literally EVERYTHING :D

I have stayed here many times but since my last stay before covid it has gone down dramatically. Which is such a shame. As with a bit of work this could be a lovely place to stay

Very simple but clean and functional. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was a good size, clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable, shower was great (hot water at all time, good pressure), shower gel squishy bottles easy to use, and there was something that many hotels don't have, which is brilliant: a heated mirror in the bathroom that doesn't mist up (and, bonus, the mirror was apparently perfect for make up, with its integrated light)! Great location if you have a car and need to travel to the area. There are bakeries and eateries within 15 minutes walking distance on the Noyelles-Godault side (we found a very nice brasserie, and there is a chips van next to the hotel, and a berbere restaurant we didn't try), and on the other side of the motorway is a very impressive shopping mall with everything you can think of. For the price, I was very impressed!

The room is not what I would call "cozy", but I didn't expect that for the price anyway - just simple and functional. We couldn't find a hairdryer, but maybe we could have asked the reception.

Really good value for money. Perfect for a one-night stopover. Reception was open until quite late, so I didn't have to queue up outside to type in endless codes (as is quite common for these type of hotels).

For the online check-in I needed to provide passport numbers of all guests. Is that really necessary (and secure)....? The doors of the rooms are all outside. I was fine with that, but in case it's raining it may be less pleasant.

Cheap, free parking

Arrived at a closed gate/reception before midnight. When calling the number they said they did not have my reservation information so took a while before I could check-in. Room is very outdated and very hot, no air conditioning.
