The room was clean and warm, but we did have ants. The spa area was very good and we had it to ourselves.
We felt the room was tired and needs some updating to make it ‘luxury’. Little touches like having coffee making facilities would be lovely. We had a kettle that wouldn’t turn off when boiled and 2 teabags one of which couldn’t be used as it was soggy!we didn’t feel a warm welcome that all other reviews raved about. Overall we didn’t feel it was value for money.
Pleasant
The air conditioning was not working properly. The restaurant wasn't open the night we were there. We weren't aware it wasn't open and the owner of the restaurant in the town centre kindly drove us home as the walk home was very dark and treacherous with no footpaths.
Bad
we booked the hotel on line through booking .com. we booked late afternoon and there was a train strike. I cancelled through hotel about 2 hours later and the hotel would not give us any refund and charged us the full amount. Not happy with booking .com and hotel . both booking .com and hotel showed no compassion We will not use either again.
Lovely property and the staff were the best!! Very helpful with our travel plans and we are returning there later in the week because we loved it so much. They have a world class winning brandy distillery. They have arranged to have a shuttle take us to our cruise ship. The old town is lovely and the restaurants are top notch. My only regret is that we did not have time to see the ancient ruins. The breakfast was first class!
Loved everything.
It was so beautiful.. The Spa Treatments were amazing and Rita was excellent.i loved the breakfast and the peace and solitude. I travel for work all year round and it was terrific to unplug in such beautiful surroundings with such lovely people.
Nothing really.better to have a car to get around and also its an hour from the airport so organise your transfer in advance.
The property was beautiful and very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
Breakfast was very good.
Nothing. I wanted to experience a small town in Italy. The staff was woderful and the grounds beautiful
The property is beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed swimming in the pool. The breakfast was great. They have special amaros that I tasted too. I hope to return for a longer stay.
Amazing place in the countryside. Close by to Tarquinia. Quite place. Very good breakfast.
Pool, Garden, Bar, Shuttle Bus, Friendly Staff. We had a great time here. The kids enjoyed the pool very much. Thank you for the hospitality!
I would just mention the WiFi connection and the parking area should not be cleaned with the leaf blower when cars are there. I have seen nice cars made dirty.
This place is heaven!A gem in a not so interesting place in Italy…The people were great and the room is quiet and with a beautiful outdoor.
The bathroom has to be a level up for a luxury hotel…
From the moment we arrived the staff were outstanding. Lunches very reasonably priced and a very good breakfast included. Peaceful , quiet and a very good standard of accommodation.
Like most places in Italy you need a car to go out for dinner , not the properties fault just an observation
Facilites, pool, good wine
Like the pool and the set up of the room
The only problem was mosquitos ,it seems that there having fun and actually eliminate two
We liked the setting, the hotel itself, and the nearby town
The hotel had the feeling of not really being opened for business in early March, the pool was empty and the very small spa looked like it was closed. There was no evening meals being served and breakfast for a celiac was very poor.
Just passing through for one night but thought the whole place was great and wished we could stay longer. Comfortable room/bed, lovely people, great breakfast, beautiful surroundings.
Couldn’t get the air conditioning to work and, since we had arrived late didn’t want to bother anyone. No way to get fresh air without opening the door.
Such a cozy resort. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. They were available to shuttle us to town and give us recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see.
