    Pros +

    • Beautiful property, luxury room, great views of the vineyard, superb breakfast, excellent staff. Perfection )
    • All was amazing. The scenery from our terrace was beautiful. The place is serine and very pleasent. The staff was very helpful.
    • Lovely bed with quality linen. Great walk-in power shower, with quality products. Property has been tastefully refurbished and looks lovely on a sunny day and at night.

    Cons -

    • I liked everything.
    • One one side is the vineyard - all very rural. Opposite the entrance to the land leading to the property, is what looks like an industrial estate. Bit of an odd mixture. The receptionist was very friendly as were the breakfast staff. The owner (female) was not very welcoming and didn’t bother to say goodbye as we were leaving. There were only about 6 or 8 guests so it would have been a nice and feasible gesture.
    • The “pre-ordering” of breakfast. The possibility to have dinner onsite would be nice.

Location, beautiful settings in vineyard, pool

Simply everything. Right from the welcome when we arrived until our checkout 10 days later. Our room was fantastic, it overlooked the pool and a garden. The freshly made breakfasts were delicious. At one point there was even a freshly baked pear cake. But above all the people, everyone did their best to make our stay truly memorable. After a few days they what we liked for things to do and type of restaurants.

    Nothing at all!

Beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, charming staff and even nicer than it looked in the photographs

Nothing - would be good to go back when the restaurant is running

Beautiful surroundingsBeautiful chateauxLovely relaxed atmosphere Enjoyed most afternoons around the pool

Wine being served was a little over pricedIt was a shame that the restaurant for dinner was not available

A great place to stay, with very kind and attentive staff. The hotel is located off-road and is very quiet, It is not too far from town, and at least in early june easy to get to town. Also good location to visit tghe Ardeche area. The room was excellent. A somewhat more spacious desk would even have been better. The breakfast was excellent quality and served at the table: you order in the evening and get it served at the table in the morning. As it is not buffet style, somewhat repetitive and limited in warm food, but the different kinds of (warm) bread were really very good.

There is no WIFI in the room but they provided a WIFI access in the reception area. Still, in the room would be more comfortable. We selected the hotel because on "Booking" it stated to have a restaurant. The restaurant was closed. We personally prefer to have a restaurant on-site to be able to get a good meal and drinks at dinner and not have to worry about driving. Overall a very pleasant experience

Amazing property, immaculately clean and well maintained. Oceane on reception was the perfect hostess upon our arrival. We didn’t eat at the property but the wine from their vineyard was superb!

A bar area would have been nice and sociable. The additional charges for eggs on the breakfast menu was a little surprising.

We stayed 4 days late September at the Domaine Walbaum and wished we'd booked a week or more. It's one of the loveliest places I have stayed at. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Always available to help you and very respectful of your privacy. We felt at home almost instantly. The villa is beautifully renovated and has a lot of charm. Situated only minutes away from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc in a lavish domain, it is quiet and peaceful. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed the terrasse as well as the pool and desk chairs. The room was very comfortable, and had all the amenities you can wish for. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and everything functioned perfectly. The walk-in shower was large and the water pressure was excellent. If you enjoy wine, you should taste the domaine's selection, they are excellent. The restaurant was closed for the season, but the owners provided us with a list of recommendations in the area. Beware that many places tend to close for the season between the end of September and October. Breakfast was lavish, composed of fresh dairies, a selection of bread and home made cakes (some gluten and/or lactose free), fruit, and home made jam, marmelades and the local honey is amazing. The river Ardèche is only minutes away and follows the property on 2 Km. It's perfectly located to explore the south of Ardèche, to go hicking in the Gorges de l'Ardèche - or canoeing for that matter. The Domaine Walbaum is a rare gem, the kind you only share with your closest friends.

Hotel Villa Walbaum is located in an exceptional setting in the vineyards next to the Ardeche. The pictures are an absolut accurate reflection of what you will find, while they only partly show the outstanding luxury flair of the Villa and yard. The owner couple are absolutely devoted to give their guest a good time and make sure you have everything you need. The Breakfast is small but with more than sufficient choices, especially considering the fair price they ask for it. Dinner is a changing menu and of very good quality, since they don't have a kids menu, they took the effort to make a small dish for my son.Rooms are super clean with a big bathroom and the beds are super comfy. For the ones being interested in Roman History check the fantastic Collection of prints in the stairway and the corridors

No WIFI, which however wasn't a big issue given that phone network is strong at side, the owner are currently waiting for the fiber to be connected, so it should be a long lasting issue, they offer to plug in in the office area

We loved the villa. In a very tourist area it is an oasis of calm and tranquility and the rooms, furnishings and comfort level are superb. Situated down a long private track, through the Villa's own Domaine everything about the property allows you to rest and relax. The pool is quiet, no fights for loungers, dinner and breakfast on the open terrace overlooking the vines and listening to the wildlife. I wish we could have stayed longer. We'll certainly go back

I hardly ever give this good ratings, but we were both so happy with our stay. The staff was super friendly, dinner and breakfast were great. And even though I didn’t give the beds a top rating, the pillows were better than normal.I would like to go again.

We loved everything, the hotel is a beautiful little castle located in the vineyards. A dream place in a dream location!

    Nothing, it’s perfect.

The hospitality is exceptional. An outstanding property, restored with lovely details in a beautiful setting. Not to speak about the wines ! It felt to me like home. Will certainly return.

I wished we could stay longer !
