The Majestic Hotel is just a 1-minute walk from the 3.1 mi stretch of golden sands of Tramore Beach and 7.5 mi from Waterford. It features a restaurant overlooking Tramore Bay and free WiFi access. Rooms at the Majestic feature shower rooms with hairdryers. Rooms also include TVs, safety deposit boxes and tea/coffee making facilities. The Garden Room Restaurant serves traditional Irish and classic international dishes. Produce is locally sourced and there is an extensive wine list to accompany the menu. The Lounge Bar overlooks Tramore’s Boating Lake and drinks and snacks can also be enjoyed on the garden patio. Light refreshments are served all day in the Lakeside Lobby. Guests of the Majestic receive a discount at The Splashworld Health and Leisure Club, which is opposite the hotel. Fishing and horse riding are available on the beach.

The staff were excellent - at the reception and in the dining room The cleanliness was noticeably good throughout the hotel, and was exceptional in the bedroom and bathroom. I thought the decor was tastefully done. Dinner in the evening was really good and well presented.
Beautiful stay. Beautiful room, clean and bright, bar food delicious, breakfast delicious. So close to beach. Loved it x

Cons -

Very strong and noticeable cigarette smoke on the second floor bedroom corridor. This wouldn't usually be a bother but I felt it was unusually strong and unpleasant. I felt the furniture in the bedroom, while of good design was just not comfortable. There were two chairs that were paired were paired with a table and fell between the 'armchair' and 'dining room chair' categories.. They're not the type of chair that encourages relaxation ! (which is what many people would like to do when on holiday). 'Real' armchairs would go a long way to adding guest's comfort. I was there for one night only, but I would not like to have been using the bedroom for a week's relaxation holiday.
