Pros +
- Clean and comfortable room and bed. Staff was very friendly. Very generous spa use policy. Complimentary refreshments in fridge was a nice treat. We booked this last minute as we were passing through, we didn’t know what to expect. We felt really lucky that we happened upon this place. Would definitely return.
- hot pools and spa were great, a relaxing option at the end of the day or dutring our stay
- Love everything about Salus! The rooms are lovely, the bed comfy, the shower strong and the restaurant delicious! Staff are friendly and helpful!
Cons -
- One of the elevators seemed a little off.
- The restaurant of the hotel- slow service, we were disappointed from the expensive portions (tiny portion of soup which should be hot and arrived cold) as well as a baked portion (something which looks like a torn pizza- arrived with small amount of cheese, and we received iy cold). When we tried to complain at the reception, it seemed that these facts did not interest them. But besided the restaurant (skip it)- the hotel and the spa were perfect.
- I wish there was a way to dry our robes and towels in the room. I couldn’t figure out the thermostat.

Everything about the Hotel was very adequate and the pool facilities, Spa and surroundings lovely. The pools were a nice temperature and the relaxing areas quite spacious with a very relaxing atmosphere...even with many guests it was quiet enough to relax and tune out.Obviously the adults only is a good bonus. The quality and cost of the spa treatments were excellent. And the Hotel Staff in all the facilities were quickly responsive to any requests.
The only area in the Hotel where there is room for improvement is the restaurant.I admit I come from a long line of restaurant owners and managers, however I always give credit where credit is due.Unfortunately, the food was never served with that extra care which makes a difference and in both of our dinners the food was not served at the proper temperature, (cool or cold at best) compromising what might otherwise have been a good meal.
The pools and spa were excellent. THe dinner was good, but not excellent. The rooms are a little tired, but no complaints
So peaceful and relaxing. We stayed for a couple of nights at the end of a 30 day trip. Great way to relax before heading home. Food was excellent and staff so welcoming and accommodating
We actually had a lovely stay here for most of the time. The pools are very nice, the sauna is relaxing, and we had free run of the space for most of our stay because there were few other visitors there. The staff were also very kind and welcoming, and provided us an upgraded room and let us have a late checkout and use of the pools/spa access until 4pm on the day of check out (given we had checked in so late the night prior). The room was also comfortably furnished and we enjoyed use of the balcony.
This is tough, because we did have a lovely stay. But as I was showering around 3pm before we checked out, I realized that I had an intense burning in my throat and it became very difficult to breathe. I’m not allergic to anything, but thought perhaps I was allergic to the soap the hotel had provided. I was in the shower for fewer than 3 minutes, as I quickly tried to scrub the soap off of me and get out of the shower as quickly as I could. It was extremely hard to breathe, and I escaped the bathroom quickly. My skin didn’t burn, but my throat was on fire and I was wheezing as I tried to get air into my lungs. My friend then went to get her own shower. She used her own soap that she’d packed to avoid any allergic reactions. She too took a very short shower, then rushed out of the bathroom struggling to breathe as well. She told me she had the same symptoms - burning in her throat and inability to fill her lungs/wheezing. We recognized then that it was the water itself that seemed to be the problem. We were in a rush to go and quickly checked out, thinking the symptoms would wear off soon enough/once we were away from the hotel room. We really didn’t know what might have been the issue. However, that night I was still struggling to breathe so much that I could hardly sleep. It took me two hours to finally be able to rest, because as I was drifting off, I would begin gasping for air and coughing. The cough I developed over the course of that first day was deep in my chest and full of phlegm. My friend also struggled, but while her symptoms wore off by end of day 2, mine persisted for about 4 days. We’re both young 30-year old women who are fairly physically fit and active, and were not ill prior to our visit here. We researched, and it seems a combination of chlorine/bromine may have been the cause; the spa had likely very recently treated their water, and we were essentially bathed in chemicals when we went to shower.
Wonderful spa facilities both indoor and outdoor. Friendly staff and great breakfast.A truly enjoyable stay.
The staff were exceptional, the facility full service, and the hot springs delightful.
I thought the room we got was like the lowest room with no view and no balcony and there were only a scattering of guests in the hotel.
The room is spacious and clean. Well maintained grounds and spa. Delicious food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner
Nice spa hotel, good outdoor pools, old but very well maintained. Location 10 minutes drive from the city center. Quiet. Very good breakfast. Comfortable and clean rooms
Spa facilities, Room, Staff
Restaurant prices were a bit high, spa became quite crowded over the weekend but still manageable
There is a lot of pools in the hotel And it’s very beautiful I love it
Some staff in the breakfast today Wasn’t friendly
Not impressed at all. Both the establishment and the service is subpar compared to the price.
Old fashioned, it need remodeling/renovation. Bedrooms are not updated and it looks like the establishment is still from the 80’s. No good value for money in my opinion. In a previous stay, I stayed at the Niccolò V hotel which was recently renovated and for the same price. Breakfast was poor and of low quality.
The breakfast was fantastic. The staff very friendly. Had a massage it was amazing.
It was clean .
Too far from town . Our room had a courtyard view which infact was a set of stairs . Food was not of a high standard
Staff was very friendly. The crew at the spa was very helpful and professional. I enjoyed my first ever spa day complete with a first class massage.
It was our second time in the hotel. We came back because of the hot water facilities which are great. It is a good place to tour north of Lazio area, which is very nice.
The only comment is the breakfast that can be healthier. More vegetables would be great.
Our room was great, spacious and with a balcony overlooking the pools. The hotel facilities are amazing, both the outside hot pools, as well as the spa.The food is varied, of good quality and tasty.Good location for visiting around.
Nothing ?
The facilities were excellent, staff very friendly and very accommodating. The pools were very nice, and the cave was amazing. We were greeted by english speaking receptionist, who gave us a dedicated space for the motorbike, and upgraded our room as a gift for our anniversary.
