Hotel La Residenza

It was pretty clean and quiet, the morning breakfast was very nice and the staff there were helpful.

Their was no one to check us in and tell us how to get to our room and the location for a weekend stay was not good, everything around there was closed. We did not have room service the morning after our first night, no fresh towels that morning.

Spacious room, cosy and comfortable. Nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was basic, but it's OK.

It was walking distance from railway station but not very close if you have to drag your suitcase. About 10 minutes’ walk to Duomo, so overall location not so bad. Breakfast was nothing special but good enough. The room was very spacious with spacious kitchen/dining room.

Our room was in front of the lift and stairs (room #510) and a lot of noise from hotel guests when they use the lift and stairs because they talk quite loudly. You had better avoid the rooms near the lift and stairs.

It was a nice location and nice stay. The room was nice and had everything we needed. Got recommendation on where to eat and staff upon arrival was really kind and helpful. I liked that we had a living room next to the bedroom, but I think sofa there could use a bit of cleaning, and the seat cushions could easily move while sitting. Other than that, everything was okay and met our expectations.

Hotel La Residenza is in a central area of Messina, quite near the University. The street is somewhat calm, taking into account the area where the hotel is located.The room was very good and comfortable, a large area with a bedroom and a dining-room with kitchnet. Only the bathroom was a bit small, which is understandable, as the hotel is in an old buiding and the interior was very well adapted to a hotel. The breakfast was good in the Italian way, which means, not excessive, but quite enough. And the staff was always attentive to any need of ours, ready to bring us anything that was not in the breakfast room.

I guess the main thing that needs a change is the lift, only for being too slow. Of course it is rather good that a lift wass put in such an old building, and it has qualities, as being able to take a wheel-chair.

Water in shower constantly going from hot to cold, and water outlet in shower kept overflowing.

The room was large and had a balcony . It wax a walking distance to most things like mini market and restaurants.

It wasn’t long enough

A grand room on a cross roads in messina with 2 balconies. Old school grandeur with large furniture and a fridge.

Staff is very helpful, location is excellent with easy access to the Port, train station , shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

The shower clogged up super fast, flooded the bathroom and into the bedroom, making it a challenge to have a decent shower, was the only issue,

It was a short perfect stay in Hotel La Residenza, everything was perfect staff, breakfast, cleanness

Helpful staff and the location is excellent. AC works well and the room size was nice. There’s an elevator at the facility, which is nice with the luggage. The bed was comfortable and we both slept well. There was a decent size mini fridge in the room. Overall the stay was okay for us.

The room could use a makeover and it had a slight cigarette odor. Shower felt a bit claustrophobic and water pressure left room for improvement. Was sorry to notice that there wasn’t a double size mattress, instead two regular sized mattresses.

Sufficiently large bedroom and the adjoining kitchenette was a bonus. The bathroom size was ample. The residence is quite modern and well appointed.

It didn’t have a full length mirror which ladies look for.

There is a charge of €20 if you wish to use the hot plate in the kitchenette where there was no crockery or cuttlery, only 2 small coffee cups and 3 very small drinks glasses.This could have been a very good stay if it had a few more amenaties.
