Pros +
- Bed was comfortable
- The hotel was clean friendly staff ... pool and cinema for the kids was excellent..... breakfast lots of variety and lunch dinner menu was very good .....
- The handyman was very helpful and friendly when the check in staff weren't helpful was able to sort things for us
Cons -
- The windows were very drafts an had to put curtains up on window ledge also the room was cold . I think if the heat was on in the room before arrival this would solve the problem.
- The attitude of the check in staff when we entered our room the bed collapsed when sat on by my son. Not only is this unacceptable but very dangerous and the check in staff where annoyed that they had to sort this for us. Almost as if it were our fault. The pool had eay too much chemicals to the point our eyes were stinging.Food was average for the standard of hotel.
- The fact that residents had to leave the hotel to look for something to eat in the evening. Also, when we were checking in there was no record of our booking at the desk. Obviously we had a record of the booking. Once checked in the back office it was confirmed. The front desk/ reception is the very first impression to visitors. This was a bit worrying. Also if we were told at that time that there would be pressure on access to food for residents later on we could have booked a table then. The attitude of the senior person on PKs on Saturday night left a lot to be desired. 'I'm sorry we have no room.......' would have been so much better than her retort. I was shocked! I came back in after a few minutes to ask what she recommeded for residents! For strangers to the town this was daft!We must commend Bogues Foodhall with great service and tasty takeaway food. A very mixed weekend experience!

Breakfast staff and the breakfast were our highlights. Staff at this time of the day were really super.

Clean spacious rooms, great shower and hairdryer’s in room! Brilliant mirror in bathroom for makeup or shaving. The food was fabulous and staff were extremely helpful and friendly
Big room, comfy bed, good breakfast & nice restaurant
Some updating needed.
Staff very helpful, leisure and spa very clean and easy to book and use
The staff were great! Breakfast was good
It is old. The rooms were old
The Bar
The staff rushed the breakfast because they were having a staff party that day. The breakfast was just ok not that fresh The bar did not have ant music any time we were in The room was basic with no complimentary stuff
Comfortable bed, friendly staff, reasonably priced.
The TV is placed in an awkward viewing angle. Minor complaint.
Excellent breakfast, exceptional staff in spa the bistro and bar very relaxing, food good, loved the clean environment voucher idea
The room was a good size for a family with a double, single and bunk beds. Bathroom was a fair size with a separate bath and shower.
The receptionist that checked us in was clueless with regards to dinner in the bar and breakfast times. He told us that the bar accepted walk in customers and that the bar was not at all busy on Fri evening. Alas, the opposite was true and the bar was packed. We were catered for in a function room. The poor guy also needs to be updated on breakfast times as his current time of 7am to 10am at weekends is incorrect. The pool in the leisure centre is also not 20m as advertised and was cold.
Bed was comfy, location was good for town.
Rude members of staff in pk’s bar , heating in rooms intermittent while temperatures are in the minus, building very outdated. Bathroom door does not stay closed unless locked, shower is leaking water all over floor,
A very basic stay and...
Room was very dated and old. Lots of rust and scum on the bathroom Breakfast was very poor. Staff were very unhelpful
I was here for a wedding and where the wedding was was beautiful. I have alot of food allergies and the staff were extremly accomodating. Food was amazing
The hotel is a bit dated in the rooms and corridors and needs modernising
Very Comfortable
Not a great menu pot of tea for 1 overpriced @ 3.40
The pool and spa
The building and room is outdated and needs upgrades. The phone did not work, nor the jetted bathtub. When I asked about the bathtub, the staff stated it "had not worked in years." The breakfast was average, and the customer service was quite poor and unhelpful despite making requests and complaints to the reception staff. My displeasure was simply noted, with nothing done to correct the situation. The experience did not come close to the expense for the room
Friendly staff, plentiful breakfast, lovely and clean
The rooms were way too hot
Great staff. Nice meal. Room and bathroom very clean.
Bathroom and some common areas a little dated.
The restaurant is cozy and the food was enjoyable. The overall atmosphere felt warm and pleasant.
The service could be a little more attentive.
