    Pros +

    • We walked around the lake and met old family friendsTook the foto from hotel’s window
    • The hotel is not in the Schloss (castle) but next to it. The buildings are very pleasant, a lof of details, for instance the design the green areas and the sculptures, seem very thoughtful. Everything is super clean and supertidy. It also felt spacious, you did not feel that they wanted to make use of every square inch for instant profit. The breakfasts, both the variety and the quality were superb. The nearby restaurant that opens in the afternoon is really local and authentic, most guest were local Bavarian people from the area, the beer and the food were delicious and not something "touristic". The hotel was not separated by walls from the small village and you can sense that this part of the countryside is supersafe. What we enjoyed the most was the pond. Actually, it is a small swimming pool in the lawn field next to the hotel but made as if it were a natural hole in the nature. The water was clean and lukewarm; a pleasure in the hot summer. there was there a resting deck with armchairs next to it but the place was never crowded, the people were quiet and kind to have a little small talk while enjoying the look of the robot lawnmower passing by.
    • Easy to find, great complex of various buildings including the old castle. Enough parking space. Very big room (ground floor) with view to the garden lawn, big ceiling, with extra sofa. Stylish and functional. Quiet and competent air con. Bathroom with extra bathtub and large shower. Very quiet location even though there is quite a big restaurant part of the whole complex, but in another building. Very clean. Water supply (hot and cold) flawless. Very friendly and helpful staff!

    Cons -

    • On booking.com we booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Having made the booking the site asked if we wanted a childbed and we answered yes. Once at the hotel, the receptionist said to "this category of rooms" (meaning, to the ones so cheap) childbed is not provided and asked if were OK if the child slept in our bed. We had to say yes as we couldn't go anywhere at that point. The receptionist said it was "just a request" that I had made, and they could not fulfil it. Two days later I got a message on booking.com saying our request for childbed was rejected. - During daytime it was hard find a coffee; there is no kettle in the room, after breakfast we were told not to use the coffeemaker in the breakfast area, the nearby pastry shop and restaurant were closed and there were no other such places in the small village, in the hotel there are snack machines (and, interestingly, a wine machine) but no coffee machine. Eventually, the receptionist made me a coffee at the otherwise empty bar. When leaving I realized that they charged 3,50 EUR for each such coffee. - So, the advice is, dear Reader, if you are of a coffeedrinker sort do not forget to pack your own kettle. - All these nuisances were greatly compensated by the advantages and niceties of the hotel, see above.
    • It lacks some maintenance and attention to details which would just add nicely to the comfort and experience there. Breakfast is mediocre at best, sorry, needs improvement in quality of food offered. Scrambled eggs were good though, coffee acceptable. Bread and rolls a disgrace. Variations acceptable. Wifi signal very weak.
    • I like The rooms are big and clean

I didn't likeThe pillows some of them is very big and not comfortable to useThe hotel is surrounded by swamps with which make all the area full of mosquito and big flys so you can't open the windows or you can't set piecfully in the garden out side and it smells weird and bad in some areas around the swamps They clean the rooms only every 2 days so if you run out of toilet paper for example you have to wait ..or buy ..nor keep going the reception to ask for it

I like The rooms are big and clean

Family room is excellent: spacious, comfortable, beautiful and clean. And it has a good AC which you need on hot summer days. The brewery next door is a perfect location to have a bjte and drink on the terrace in the summer. A perfect location for a relaxing holiday or a stop-over while driving to austria/italy/erc.

A magic gem hidden in the Heart of Bavaria , i loved everything about the Hotel . It was a surprize for because i didnt know what to expect !

The moment we made the check in i would like to have more information on the rooms location , (from the stuff) since you have never been there it looks like a labyrinth

Customer service - excellent, place excellent, breakfast - nice, also for vegetarians as I am :)

Sound isolations between rooms is dramatically low. It is possible understand what people are speaking in near room ...

Great breakfast. We arrived late and the castle looked scary ? we enjoyed the stay.

    10MargusPosted on: 10-24-2021

Always very hospitable staff. Large and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast.

    8EvelynPosted on: 8-24-2021

I had for the first time a room in the castle. The bath room was very big. The breakfast had a big choice and a lot of fresh products as fruits and vegetables.

I recommend to offer water in bottles in the room or indicate where you can buy some and the possibility to make warm beverages like tea/coffee also in the room.

Jogging routes (enough to expore), wellness area (super clean, very nice sana room, good sym facilities), hotel-owned brewery (fresh beer, served with nice food), the small swimming pond with natural water.

Lack of furniture in our room (e.g. no table, not enough chairs). The bunk bed is poorly designed for climbing. No separation door between two rooms, the shower is located in an open space, insufficient lightening. The room is next to the main road.

    10TrevorPosted on: 8-8-2021

It has cold A/C, keeping the room comfortable, it also has large space and many beds for the family.

    10SelinaPosted on: 7-8-2021

The breakfast buffet is small but nothing is missing, the room to eat in is absolutely lovely and extremely clean. The staff was so friendly with us, even though we are traveling with 3 small children. The Kegel room was an extra highlight for us. The room itself was beautiful and had plenty of space. We are already looking forward to our next visit there. :-)

The only little tiny request is in the family room there is not enough space to hang wet towels/swimsuit. We are a family of 5 and there was only space for 2-3 towels to hang up. We would love if the biergarten offered at lunch time more options, maybe sandwiches to go or something similiar.

    Lovely long weekend

Only discomfort was that room had no air con. Apart from that was excellent
