This place was fantastic! Coffee machine in the lobby was a blessing. Free beer all afternoon, Prosecco at 5pm. Breakfast was great, location great, room great, staff great, bikes great!!

Friendly staff, clean and updated room, good breakfast, free snacks, coffee and honor spritz bar. I could open the window. Good shower. Good towels. Towel warmer worked. Easy access to the wall for walks.

My room would be small for two people. This is a basic hotel, not in the center of the Centro and not fancy.

The hotel was very generous with breakfast and afternoon snacks.

The pillows are very thin and uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ilaria. The location is perfect - right inside the old town, yet accessible by car, which made arriving very convenient. The hotel offers a parking service, which was extremely helpful. It’s just a five-minute walk to all the main attractions and lively streets, but still in a quiet and peaceful area. Our room felt brand new, was perfectly clean, and very comfortable. Overall, an excellent experience, highly recommended for anyone visiting Lucca!

Should have stayed longer!

Wonderful breakfast, a lot of choices. The location was excellent and the parking at the hotel was very convenient. Staff is very helpful.

We are reasonably tall people and the beds seem a bit shorter than other places we visited on this trip.

We had an enjoyable stay here. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed riding the provided bikes around the city. Everything was very clean and comfortable (except the pillows - they were extremely flat and not comfortable).

Location

Overpriced - we paid £179 but the room was a 3 star at best - small and it felt like we were given the worst room. On checking we were not given a thorough introduction to Lucca like a talk of the local sights, city map and recommendation of places to see / eat. We witnessed other customers receiving this when we checked out !!No room service was available when we arrived after a 5 hour drive.

Overall our stay in Lucca was outstanding, and greatly due to our stay in Hotel Ilaria. We got a room upgrade (which was kinda awkward as it was across the street) and bed was comfy and room had a well equipped bathroom. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options including more international options, and about the same menu was served as afternoon bites, free of charge. Bicycles were provided free of charge and staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Hotel doesn't have as many facilities as a regular 4 star hotel, like gym, pool, or even room frigobar. Bikes were lacking some maintenance, especially regarding break levers. Bathroom shower leaked and soaked the floor.

This is a luxury hotel, the rooms were beautifully, tastefully renovated and modern. We loved the hotel and staff. Super location as well.

Good location just outside the main core and near the city wall. Lovely breakfast terrace where you can enjoy breakfast outside. Staff were nice and helpful.

Slightly corporate feel perhaps, not particularly historical or Italian, but that is just a preference

Great location, although be prepared to walk to see the main sites.Everything was freshly decorated, it looks like the owners take great pride in the hotel.Receptionists were wonderful, nothing was to much trouble.Included breakfast was excellent, great choice.

The terrace at the rear of the hotel was not very comfortable, did not live up to the rest of the facilities.

Yellow jackets were alot outside - consider hanging some bug catchers on the outside deck.Idea of a hot tub was nice but it was not private being on the deck where breakfast was served.

I was pleasantly surprised as I booked it last minute. It was in a perfect location. The person at the front desk was very helpful in getting my bike secured. She even showed me how to work the key fob for my room which I was having difficulty with. The happy hour was perfect. Breakfast was an added bonus.
