- We stayed in the building that had 3 units. All 3 units had trouble with the hot water.
- The furniture and the setting was extremely dark and old. Our room and bathroom had very little light and I could barely see anything in the mirror specially when the sun was down. We only had a bath tub with no doors/curtains and with the shower head at out knee level which made it m
- The absolute horrible drive to and in and out of the resort was actually dangerous. The mountain drive itself was fine but as you got right before the resort you had to literally do a 180° turn up a steep incline with very little room to not hit the cement wall. Our car sensors did not like it! We also were up in a separate two story unit away from the facilities. That road just fit the rental car and going up and down it olive tree branches scraped the car with another 180° turn to get in our separate driveway. The front desk woman who came up with us to show us the unit even said the gardener was going to come and cut them for us but never did. The listing doesn't mention you are up away from the actual hotel. So to eat breakfast or dinner or anything you had to go up and down this road. The booking also says breakfast in your room and private pool. That is not true. I'm handicapped so I purposely looked to make sure there was an elevator and it was accessible. When we got there she said we would be in a two story unit with a spiral staircase and we should have let them know I was handicapped. When reading upper floors accessible by elevator that was what I looked for. Needless to say the pool and everything else is unaccessible. The decor in our unit is so outdated and the ceiling fan was totally bowed. Then.... there was the storm. The once in 20 years storm. It blew open the French doors that pushed the king bed 4 ft into the middle of the floor breaking the headboard and one of the panes of glass. My husband was trying to hold a wall of French doors back while the storm was going right through our room. The doors were not latched from previous use so he was trying to get the latches down. Water was pouring in the room onto the floor and through the ceiling. After the storm there was no power and this unit has no phone in it.... No coffee no. Nothing.

The view was amazing. The pool was also nice. The outside architecture was really very special and the grounds had several olive trees. The breakfast was also nice.

beautiful villa, beautiful place, excellent conditions, very good quality furnishings, swimming pool, breakfast, amazing nature. 15 minutes from Lucca. I want to go there again. I lost my tablet, they found it and sent it to me
This hotel was a Tuscan dream. From the beautiful drive up the mountain, to it's beautiful architecture, to the infinity pool with a perfect view, to a grand dinner on the patio, to wonderful hosts, the relaxation I felt in this place was something to long for and I hope to return! Highly recommend!
Not having my own transportation as it was difficult to get a taxi to take me there and somewhat challenging to get a taxi to pick me up early for my train departure.
Location bella, curata e tranquilla
The establishment is exceptional. The view is breathtaking. The welcome is very warm and simple. The food was very good, and the wine tasting was very pleasant.
Unfortunately, we didn’t always have staff available to take drink orders, and even at dinner in the evening, the staff was only present for 1.5 hours. After that, we were left at the table with our empty plates, without dessert or coffee. The staff returned late, around 11 PM, to clear the tables. It was a bit strange and even disappointing for such an establishment.
The view.
Everything else. The room was horrible. The manager miserable. The food poor. The garden furniture grubby. The gardens untended.
Beautiful location.
Room was cold but it was wet and miserable weather.
Super view, clean room, friendly cleaning lady. Enough parking space.
Way to expensive for what it is. We spent 6 nights in this hotel. Breakfast very monotonous (every day same stuff), horrible coffee (1 machine of two was not even working properly), not even a glas for water in the room (we booked a suite!), not very motivated front desk employee, not enough light in the room, no proper door to the room. No covered tables for breakfast in the morning (in a 4 Star hotel!). Staff in general seemed pretty unmotivated. Not an easy drive way to get to this hotel. 1x and never again.
Beautiful property with lovely views
The room we booked ( a triple) was occupied so after the 3rd try my daughter ended up sleeping on a damp camp stretcher. Although a lovely idea to have room in a wine cellar . The room smelt dusty and damp
The beautiful old buildings, the tranquil location high above Lucca, the spacious car parking. The setting and views were stunning. Nice dinner waitress. If it wasn't for those aspects, I would have marked it down to one star. Shame on the owners!
I thought the 'welcome' appalling. There are no obvious signs where to go from the carparks. The manager/owner was taciturn; he looked miserable. He was not informative apart from a pithy spiel which he delivered like a robot. Our given room was not as shown as in the photos; it was horrible and dark; it felt like a converted garage: bizarre decor with a weird hole between the cupboards to allow the light through. Totally mismatched furniture and clashing colour scheme. Nothing in the fridge...not even water. The wardrobes smelled absolutely horrible; I wouldn't hang my clothes up in them. The shower water was never very warm, dangerous slippy shower-unit up a creaky wooden step, not sufficient toiletries or linen. The patio had a dirty cloth on the table. Two small tvs in the room with the electrics dangling down on one. We had informed them prior to our visit that we were vegetarian and whether that would be a problem. They did not reply but, as a 4 star hotel, I assumed it wouldn't: the choice minimal and tasted like frozen and microwaved. The ravioli option was a solid lump like a cushion with my fork able to stand upright in the pasta. I asked if, as a simple alternative, they could make an omelette or a pasta with tomato sauce and cheese and I was told it was impossible! All the dishes were poor quality. The wine list, expensive. There was never anybody at the bar so a search to order. The manager/owner never smiled. He appeared lazy and always chilling with his phone.I'm disabled and when we arrived, he didn't even offer to help me with my luggage to the room: he strode ahead and left us outside the annexe bedroom down a steep slope with no apology or explanation. The swimming pool could be special but the access through the wilderness up a slope was dangerous because the handholds, up the steps, were wobbly.
Location
The room we stayed was really stinky, I have contacted the owner but he just ignored. We couldn’t open the windows as it was on the ground floor and wasn’t safe. We had our dinner at the restaurant and waited for someone to approach us 40 minutes, the ladies didn’t really cared. Food was good but the customer service omg!
The pool has amazing views, and the restaurant's food was good. However, it was very expensive and there was only one server so you have to be very patient.
The room we received was quite different from what we had reserved online. There was no shower, only a tub and a hand-held showerhead. Finding staff during the day was a challenge; when we went to the bar for a drink, we had to search for assistance. The owner appeared pleasant but seemed rather bothered by our questions. We were informed to inform them if we wanted lunch, so we did, only to discover there was no menu available. The owner seemed frustrated that we wanted lunch and offered to prepare us a Caprese salad and Melon with prosciutto for us (which tasted great) but then he disappeared immediately after serving us the food. So we couldn't ask for water, or anything else to eat.Overall, it was a peculiar experience and not what we had anticipated when booking our stay. Despite this, we spent most of our time at the pool, enjoying the scenic views. Guests should be aware that towels, which are quite old, come at an additional cost, and the drinks can be pricey, so bringing your own is advisable. For these reasons, we would not likely return to this destination. With our room, 2 dinners and 1 lunch (for 2 people) we spent approx $1,200 CAD, which when you are travelling around Europe will find this is very expensive.
Amazing location. Fantastic pool
No staff around, no lunch available but said there was. When staff there were rude
Location! Beautiful place, gorgeous view and very well maintained hotel, garden and swimming pool..
Service/availability: in such a hotel and at these rates per night, service should be impeccable and continuously available. Small example: there was never anyone to be found at the bar to serve a drink to get a drink one had to go searching staff throughout the hotel.Breakfast and restaurant: The restaurant, while serving good food is very overpriced. When you offer dining to paying hotel guests, charging them 5 euro for "coperto" (additional service fee on top of the price of your food, in Italy usually 2-3 euro max.) 10 euro for a glass of wine, 5 euro for water and 12 euro for a spritz (a very basic italian aperitivo which you get for 5-6 euro elsewhere) is a bit of a deal breaker. Biggest area for improvement: coffee!!! The coffee from the machine at breakfast is horrible. At this level of establishment and especially in Italy (with the best coffee in the world) you cannot serve this at breakfast ....
Location and setting is spectacular, friendly guy at reception
Getting old and shabby … they charge for every thing, changing rooms with issues, towels at pool. In itself already pretty expensive compared with other Agriturismo around. The WIFI is non existent and remote area …. No staff around location great but when you drove few times dust road getting boring
View. Quiet. Relaxed vibe.
