The woman at the front desk was so kind and considerate.

Bed was not great, was quite stiff. It could also use some floor coverings here and there.

Spacious and clean. Good, prompt communication texting with the management.

No heat in the bathroom.

It’s in the heart of the city, the room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. You could still feel the antiqueness even though you can see it was renovated to be a bit modern.

The flush of the toilet is weak but manageable.

The location was fantastic--it's on a nice quiet street that is close to everything. The room was spacious and comfortable with a Nespresso coffee maker (though more of a selection of coffee would be good--such as including decaf).

There is no noise insulation at all. I could hear every word of conversation of the people in the room above me and all the doors closing all over the building. The floor was a very cheap plastic laminate that made a lot of weird noise when walking on it.

Very good area, quiet and hotel had elegant set up. Room was clean, bathroom as well. Everything was working as it should be, the bed was so comfortable. I was wondering about the mosquitoes and I found a mosquito plug-in in the room. It was a plus thank you.

Location was amazing and checkin and checkout was easy! It was very clean and it had all that we needed except for a comfortable bed.

The bed was so uncomfortable. It was the worst bed we had during our 18 days of travel. It was two twin beds pushed together with a sheet over them. The two twin beds were uneven so one sat higher than the other. We could feel the springs through the bed. The room was so big so it was so disappointing with the bed.

The property was freezing when we arrived and for the duration of our stay we were unable to get the central heating to work at all. This left us with the fan heating from the air conditioner unit which could not heat the room enough. The staff contacted by text message were less than helpful.

Location within city walls was excellent.

Shutters on other unoccupied room windows were left unlatched and swinging during a severe wind storm causing loud banging and distrubed sleep in the night. Rectified promptly on notifying staff. Room door and key lock needing attention - had to bang the door shut and the lock was tricky causing potential disturbance to other guests (for most of my stay I was the sole (off-season) occupant of the premises. Otherwise excellent.

The location was wonderful and it was close to places to eat.

We struggled to find parking for our rental car and would have appreciated more info about arriving with a car. The instructions for getting in were great, but the rooms were dark and the extra bed was uncomfortable.

Loved the old building with its spacious rooms, located on a quiet street and really close to everything in the beautiful city of Lucca.

The property itself was fine, and I would have liked to give our stay a higher rating, but there were a number of things that were less than perfect, such as a broken safety deposit box, defective lightbulbs and non-functioning wifi. I realize that the wifi was not the fault of the hotel management but in general I felt that the hotel would have benefited from a more hands-on approach, instead of everything being handled by phone or text messages. I wish the management well because it really is a beautiful place, but please make your guests feel a little more welcome.

Very nice historic building in the centre of Lucca, walking distance from the train station. Beautiful large room, with very high wooden ceiling. Clean and comfortable. There are no personnel on site, but check-in and out were straightforward.

The only downside is that, being an old building, windows are also old, with no double glazing, and you can hear people talking in streets outside till late at night.

Beautiful, spacious and clean room (Torandot room). Easy enough to find and in an excellent location, walking distance to many attractions. Felt very safe for a female solo traveller. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The pdf/pack the staff provided was very helpful.

No facilities for eating breakfast in the room. Just a kettle and coffee machine with 2 pods.

Perfect location on a quiet street near everything and a short walk from the train station.

Loved this room. Was a great size with kitchen facilities and a large bathroom. Everything we needed. Fantastic location in the old town, close to everything and only a 10-minute walk to the train station.

Location was amazing right in the heart of lucca

We had difficulty getting through front door on arrival as timing to open door with pincode had to be exact finally got in 45 minutes later as no persons present, shower slide rail holder broken and head on ground had to contact them to fix which was next day, no heating in room including heated towel rail in bathroom as apparently not available

Very central, enormous room with discounted breakfast at lovely cafe close by.
