Hotel Bernardino

The hotel accommodated for our late arrival outside regular check-in hours. Staff were friendly and helpful. The city centre is just a short walk away.

Central, friendly and professional staff and wide range of free parking lot closeby.

Great location and very friendly staff. There is a well curated garden where one can have breakfast, do some work or simply enjoy the sun. I‘ll definitely go back !

The room and hotel was clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

Location next to busy road made sleeping difficult. Bathroom window advised had special glass that could not be seen through from outside, I checked and this was not so, tempory curtain put up for one day followed next day by proper frosted glass. I was surprised the so called "special glass" was not checked by hotel when originally fitted.

The manager on the front desk was very pleasant and cooperative.

The bed was uncomfortably hard. The breakfast area was crowded and uncomfortable. A little too far from the historic centre.

Quite pleasant garden area and breakfast room. Bathroom was fine.

Very basic tired room. Disappointing tea/coffee facility in room - old looking sachets of tea and no coffee or milk. Uncomfortable bed - dipped into the middle. Disappointing breakfast - didn’t seem fresh. Photos of the hotel were misleading.

The manager and staff were extremely helpful and as a solo traveller reassured me about safety in Lucca

Basic room for the price, no tea or coffee making facilities, wen we queried this, the reply was that they are in certain rooms, not all rooms, you would expect this as standard, especially for the cost.

Very professional and friendly staff. Room comfortable and well equipped. They have a restaurant with delicious local food. Cute garden in the backyard, perfect for summer nights with a glass of wine. Definitely recommended !

Strategic position close to the centre with easier possibility to find park for the car (an issue otherwise in most of the city). Very friendly and polite staff. Clean room and very comfortable bed. What I enjoyed the most is the garden in the backyard: perfect for sunny mornings and cozy evening with some wine. Exactly what I needed after a long day of work, will definitely go back !

Not to value of paid amounth. And the options of foods was very poor.

Limited availability of staff and time options for checkout and check-in. Complex procedure for remote check-in for arrival after 11 p.m.

Perfect localization, helpful staff, very clean, simple rooms and lovely patio. Parking available at the hotel or 80m away. The city … so beautiful, so charming, so toscanian. Everything within a walking distance. Pasticceria and supermarket are very close. If in Lucca again, we will stay in the Bernardino hotel.

Big thanks to Manuela for letting us store our bags in the hotel while we cycle toured around Tuscany for a week starting and finishing in Lucca, this was a major factor in us choosing the Bernardino. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was a good size and comfortable.

It's in a busy area so some people might not like the noise, didn't bother us though.
